This is a wonderful school for any student but especially for high school girls. The academics are first rate with 98% of the graduates proceeding to college. The top flight colleges around the country are included each year and show the strong commitment to college matriculation. Sports are not second rate with first place teams regularly placing in Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball. Located in the hills above the Rose Bowl, with a view to the ocean, FSHA is proud of its heritage beginning in 1926 as a Biltmore Hotel and converting to the current institution in 1931. The hotel was closed during the Great Depression but was sold to the Dominican sisters as has been in their care ever since. Our daughter loves it, and there is a great tradition of mothers sending daughters to the school.
Pros: Positive environment for young girls, success oriented
Cons: The drive up the hill (not really that bad)
