Travelers should be wary when of this establishment when using Highway 65. I recently stopped here and used my debit card to purchase gasoline. I followed the standard procedure and swiped my card at the pump & then proceeded to fill my tank. I stepped inside, after filling the tank, used the restroom, made no further purchases (the clerk seemed much more interested in her phone conversation than inquiring as to any shopping needs I might have) and then left. I was 6.3 miles away when I was apprehended by a deputy sheriff and informed that my vehicle fit the description of a 'gas drive-off'. I returned to the station (where another local law enforcement person was waiting) and then swiped my card for the second time, but this time at the desk. I asked the clerk why I was allowed to pump gasoline if the pump had not 'read' my card and her best answer was simply, ""Oh, it just happens sometimes.""\r
I am unsure if this is simply a local scam perpetrated by unscrupulous business persons or if it was a true mistake. \r

One final note, the store needs a water hose and a bucket of soap. Do not stop here if you havea lady friend with you... unless you want to dump her later that night.
