Flagler Museum

Start here to learn about Florida from thebeginning, when Henry Flagler's railroads and luxury hotels establishedtourism and agriculture as the mainstays of Florida's economy. Start Here, to discoverthe Gilded Age, the most fascinating period in American history. The Museum is open year round. Hours are: * Sunday - Noon to 5pm Tuesday - Saturday, 10am to 5pm and closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. School tours and group tours are available. The first floor of the Museum is wheelchair accessible. Large bags, day packs, and strollers are not permitted on the Museum grounds. Handicapped parking is located near the Museum entrance. My daughter and her boyfriend took me here for the afternoon tea last Christmas--it was beautiful. The house (museum) was decorated for Christmas with huge wreaths hanging above the doorways outside and various Christmas trees decorated and placed throughout the house. The tea itself was very nice. Delicious sandwiches and biscuits and bottomless pots of hot tea. The only problem: we all left a little hungry. more
