Great service 10/19/2010

I use 5 Star Cleaners through my employer, and 2 shirts came up missing awhile back - Nick took immediate and full responsibility for the loss, even though I couldn't prove that the cleaners (vs. my employer) had mis-placed the shirts. Kudos for great service recovery! more

Just in time 6/11/2008

I've been using Five Star (6th Avenue) for 5 years now, but have been recently even more impressed with the service. I needed to pick-up my dry cleaning that evening before a flight, but did not have my car that day. I contacted them asking if there is anyway they can deliver my laundry to my office. They agreed to deliver my dry cleaning within a couple of hours. I received my dry cleaning and was ready for my 4am flight. The cleaning and service has always been great, but even greater this time. Thanks again! Pros: Same day service on Saturdays more

Bad at removing stains 5/6/2008

I turned in dress pants, sweaters, and some silk tops. The clothes were done in a day as promised, however after taking them home and looking at them I noticed there still were stains visible. I had a deoderant and liquid stain on a silk shirt as well as a small stain on black pants. When turning in the clothes I tried to point out these stains, but the woman at the front desk told me not to worry and that they would find them and clean them out. I could have done a better job cleaning the clothes myself. Pros: Very fast turnaround Cons: Did not remove stains even when I pointed them out. more

Fast Delivery 1/28/2008

Five Star picked up and delivered my dry cleaning quick. Our concierge recommended we use them because our current vendor only picks up two days a week. Five Star picked up last minute and turned around next day. My Concierge claims they'll even do same day if needed and pick up any day I want... Pros: Great Pricing - Quick Service more

Great Service 10/20/2007

I had a spot that another cleaner could not remove. I thought to give another cleaners a shot and drove a little to Five Star on 6th. It was my first visit so they offered me a great discount and actually removed the stain (wine) at no charge. I don't know her name, but a nice lady helped. I'll go back. Great DryCleaning 10/9/2007

I needed my clothes cleaned quick (same day). It was a Saturday around noon and I had a wedding that night. I was so happy to hear that they could have it ready by 4pm that same day. No only was it ready, but they honored a first time discount and did a great job. BTW - The service was GREAT! Thanks... Pros: Drive up parking more
