Five Flavors Herbs opened up at the beginning of March this year. The shop is an open, beautiful space and they have a huge variety of bulk Western and Chinese herbs. They also have almost any tincture imaginable available in bulk, along with a bunch of pre-bottled tincture singles and custom formulas.
I have gotten herbs here a few times: once, I got some Ambrosia tincture on the staff's recommendation to clear up my hay fever (which worked well), and another time to make up a pretty tea blend to give my sister as a wedding present. The staff was helpful and gave me suggestions on bulk herbs that would taste good together and also make a visually appealing tea.
I have also taken a couple classes taught by Chuck Garcia, a local third-generation curandero, hosted at the store by Five Flavors and have enjoyed them immensely. (Ingrid, one of the owners, even made a light dinner for both of the classes I attended.) The shop also has a ton of supplements and vitamins, and though I haven't used any of them, they all look pretty high quality.
There are also a few naturopaths, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and herbalists who share clinical space in the second part of the store (under the name Paeonia Integrative Medicine), but I haven't been treated by any of them, so I can't offer a first-hand review.
