Fitzy's Old Fashion Diner

There was a Police Jamboree there the last time I was there for a meal ~ midnight. It's open late and out of the way there were about 7-10 police officers there eating when we were there. Probably the safest time to visit the place. : ) The neighborhood behind it is a little sketchy. The food is good for the place, that it is. The burgers are good, and served with fresh toppings. Just don't order the Lobster and then complain about it. I believe it is open 24 hrs, making it one of the few places that have 24 hr dining rooms in Columbus. To sum it up in one word: Mediocre. To sum it up in an oxymoron: Supremely Mediocre. This is as average as it gets. Not bad, certainly. If what you want is ordinary Midwest diner food for breakfast, eggs and bacon, pancakes, the usual omelets, in an ordinary atmosphere, for ordinary prices, then this is a good place. Some people even think it's great -- good for them; if you want nothing out of the ordinary, nothing creative, nothing risky, nothing new, then this is for you.\r \r It's clean - clean enough anyway - I'd say average cleanliness. Service is not bad (one might even say it's average). Coffee is a little worse than average, at least it was when I went this week. Fitzy's is a small diner that has been around forever. They specialize in breakfast and sandwiches, and nearly all the food is great. not very healthy, but great! On Schrock Rd in Westerville, it is nestled in a strip mall and hard to notice. However it is definitely worth the stop if you are in the mood for some great breakfast food or a nice greasy burger.
