Service Department 10/3/2016

I took my 2015 Toyota Camry in for covered maintenance 6 months ago. I explained I had a strange noise coming from the passenger front wheel. Tech said it was coming from the wheel cover because when they put it on the other front wheel the same thing happened. They put it back and it still makes the same noise months later. I should have asked them to replace it but didn't. They also forgot to put the reminder sticker on the windshield- I had to ask them to do so. And they forgot to re-set the maintenance light and it went on a couple of months later. Now I am taking it in for regular maintenance. When I called apparently I was transferred to a main service scheduling center. I asked to speak with a service manager at the Gaithersburg location. He was very nice, took down my information and suggested I remind the Service Manager of the problem with the wheel cover. The first visit was sloppy. I will see how well they do with my next appointment. Bottom line - I am not impressed. more

Service of Conartists 8/6/2009

Went to these idiots a couple months ago. They claim I needed a new power steering line that they would gladly change out for $300. They also said they needed to replace the driver side axle rod and that it would cost $700. Well upon doin a simple google search while I stood there in from of them on my cell phone, the power steering line was $30 and the axle rod was $89. Guess the must be fabrication the parts in their own machinist layth to be charging a 600% mark up. They must deal with alot of idiots in dire need. I am not, however, one of them. I replaced both parts myself by looking up how online. more

Best Service Around! 5/1/2009

We started taking out off Toyota brand vehicles to Fitzgerald Lakeforest Toyota due to the treatment and price they deliver to us. I thought when first started making my vehicle there and I was greeted with a smile and the door opened for me that I just hit them on a good day but it has never changed! They make me feel special on every visit! I would recommend this service department for everyone of your cars, even if not a Toyota! also they matched the best price on tires we could find! better then costco!!!!!! more

Great car buying experience! 5/11/2007

Fitzgerald's not only publishes their prices online without requiring you to give them your name and contact info for a salesperson to call and harass you, but they have the lowest prices in the area. Brown's told me point blank that they couldn't give us the same deal that is advertised online at Fitzmall.com. We bought a Prius and had two different salespeople helping us to make sure we understood how the car worked and all of the special features it has (it's a little overwhelming at first). We requested a color that they didn't have in stock. We thought it would take a week or two to get the color we wanted but they managed to get the car and have it ready for us to pick up in less than 48 hours. We also had a very complicated trade in transaction that Fitz took care of with no problems. They even let us pick up our new car before the trade-in transaction was completed. I especially liked the no haggle pricing and that they didn't try and give us a hard sell on extra features, warranties and accessories. Everything was very easy. We went in on a Wed. and had our car the following Friday. I highly recommend Harmeet and Chris Veres if you're in the market. more

Great car buying experience FitzMall 9/9/2006

In the last eight years I have bought 7 cars so I call myself an expert at car buying experience. 3 years ago I bought a car from Fitzmall and that changed my outlook totally. They have a good showroom and the sales guys are downright honest with their approach. I like the no haggle price and it takes very less time to finish the deal. I strongly urge you to get the blue book valus / invoice value just so that you feel confident that you bought the car at the right price. My favorite sales person has been a intellignet and extremely helpful guy - Harmeet. I bought 3 cars from him and will definitrly go back to buy the next one from him. more

We buy from Fitzmall 4/15/2006

Fitzgerald Auto Malls are a good place for a fair deal. They have a good selection and an available network to get cars quickly. They are a no-haggle dealership, and their sales staff are paid hourly, not only by commission. We have found the salesmen to be very knowledgeable and actually interested in what car would be best for our needs - and not what car costs the most. The prices are fair, based on what other dealerships sell cars for and what Consumer reports estimates their price at. However, I recommend everyone to research price before they go - just in case. The car-buying process is long, coupled with the last-minute attempt to sell you undercoatings and car alarms. That said, it is much easier to buy a car there than anywhere else we have been. They also have a service plan, where you can get a loaner for life whenever your car is in for repairs. This did not turn out to be a good deal for us, since we have a mechanic we trust for our routine repairs. The times we have gotten service through them, we have been pleased. more

always helpful and low prices 1/31/2006

I was a tech many years ago but no longer wish to work on cars. I have always been treated very well. I do not tell them my background but have always been charge fair or lower then an gas station. I would recommend them highly. Their new location can not be beaten, just ask for a tour and you will see their efforts to stay number one in the area. more

Typical 'bleed 'em dry" service department 10/7/2005

Took my '02 Sienna in for replacement of an out-of-warranty O2 sensor, having paid $30 at a service station to read the fault code when the "check engine" light came on. The service advisor indicated our minivan would be ready "sometime in the afternoon" and he would call us by noon. By 2:30 p.m., and no call, we called and were told that the mechanics were just getting back from lunch and would look at it shortly. At 4 p.m., we were called and told that the car would be ready "first thing in the morning". The next day, we were called and told that the O2 sensor was "seized" in the exhaust manifold, and the exhaust manifold would have to be replaced, adding $500 to the bill. I stopped work, paid another $42 for Fitzgerald to read the same error code, and took the car back to the original service station, where the O2 sensor was removed and replaced without changing the exhaust manifold. (Two months later, a second O2 sensor failed, the service station removed that one, also seized, and replaced it in the original exhaust manifold.) I'm sure I'm not the first customer at Fitzgerald whose O2 sensor failed, and I would bet that the routinely slap customers with an additional $500 charge for exhaust manifold replacement. more
