Fitness Factory 2

I have been a member for many years because it is so convenient to my work. When it first opened it was clean and the locker rooms were neat and clean. Now tile falls off the shower walls, the fitness equipment is very dirty, caked with dirt. The staff is not very friendly and when I have complained to the owner about the towels, or things that needed fixing he says that the nice towels get stolen and I should bring my own. I don't mind the price but what you get for it isn't much. more

I think the Fitness factory is a very good facility. I am reading some of the bad complaints and don't know how that's possible. I do agree they are a little on the pricey side but you have to consider their location. I don't think anyone living in the seven fields/mars/cranberry area could ask for a better location. The gym is always very clean, the staff is always friendly, and the equipment is in good repair. Pros: location, staff, equipment Cons: no pool more

For the basics, its not bad. Beyond that, the initiation and yearly fee, for which there is no escape, even if you move- is not worth it. There's no pool, or pretty much anything other than a warehouse style gym room, but you pay like its a club with basketball courts and a rock wall. I unexpectedly had to move away within merely weeks of signing my ""yearly renewal,"" yet was charged the entire year, no compromises. The owner insisted on full payment even though I was more than 20 miles away, 45 minutes by car, 2 counties away, with the rationale that it was logical to assume I would still use the membership. Pros: it is a gym; and has equipment, treadmills. Cons: too many to list. see below more

great location but is over priced. Dont keep up the maintance and is not very clean. They also have one person in the childcare per 12 kids not safe at all. They also will charge your credit card even after your one year membership is up and you have not signed a contract. Owners are only interested in one thing $ more

This gym is very average but requires you to pay a ""initiation fee"" of $149 and then $45 a month and you are also paying extra for classes. If you dont automatically renew within 30 days of your membershipexpiration, no matter how long you have worked out there, even years, they charge you another $149 to rejoin and then the start up of $45 monthly. This is absurb!!!! Even higher end gym like Fitness factory in Shadyside have a $25 dollar start up and dont recharge you to rejoin. This gym feeds off that it has a good location and no other competition right in Cranberry. The so called juice bar is dirty and always empty, locker room are old and could be cleaner and they have had one babysitter in there to watch 12 children at once, not a wise choice to leave small children with a teenage babysitter watching that many kids. My advice, SHOP AROUND! Look at the YMCA or Oxford Club in Wexford for a much better choice. more

Fitness Factory is the best fitness center that I've ever joined. I've been a member of 5 different fitness centers in the past 10 years. The atmosphere at Fitness Factory is very upbeat, the people (members & staff) are pleasant, and the facility is spacious and clean. There are a number of different fitness opportunities provided including group exercise, classes, circuit training, free-weights, cardio, etc. Fitness Factory is superior to all other facilities in the northern-Pittsburgh metro area.
