Fishman's has an unapproachable feel b/c is blatantly states itself as a Kosher restaurant. We've talked about walking in every time we drove by the place. This morning, we decided to venture into its doors and boy, am I glad that we did!
It's 75% market and 25% restaurant. They've sectioned off a piece of the deli for the seating area; the eating area is clean, quirky, and comfortable. Mr. Fishman (the owner) himself waited on us and could not have been more pleasant.
He was very welcoming, friendly, and made it clear (in a non pushy way) he wanted our business. The food was AMAZING. I had the three challah french toast with scrambled eggs and my boyfriend had the corned beef sandwich with fries.
The french toast was heavenly and the eggs were perfection. Of course I had to have a bite of my boyfriend's sandwich, which was equally tasty. The piece de resistance were the fries. I'm not sure what kind of a batter was used for the fries, but they were probably the best fries I have ever had.
We didn't get a chance to try out their deli, but Mr. Fishman did bring us three samples of their brownies w/out having to ask. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
P.S. We aren't Jewish and had a marvelous time.
P.P.S. They follow the Sabbath and as a result, the restaurant is NOT open on Saturdays.
Pros: Great service, awesome food
Cons: Small breakfast menu
