Dr. Fisher and his staff are friendly, professional and efficient. It is obvious they love animals and my kittens will only see Dr. Fisher now - they adore him! His office isn't the closest vet, but well worth the drive. I was very impressed with the quality and cost of care; Dr. Fisher saved us money twice so far this year. My fiance and I took our 9 week old husky puppy for her first visit to the vet today since we picked her up last week. A friend recommended Dr. Fisher. The experience couldn't have been any better. As soon as we walked in he treated us and our puppy like he had known us for years. He was informed and informative, reasonable as far as prices and really cared about all of us. He gave us advice on rearing a puppy and told us to ""call anytime with questions and that no question with a new puppy is a stupid one"". Our puppy loved him too. He took time to develop a rapport with her before just giving her shots and us the bill. She didn't feel a thing. I feel lucky to have stumbled across this vet. more

I'd vote for this man for President. He's bright (Tufts), funny, compassionate, really wonderful with his furry patiennts, a good business manager, and someone you might want as a good friend. His staff have been with him for years, and so have many of his patients. I'm in my 60's. I've always had pets, both dogs and cats, and for some reason strays seem to find me. I've taken Dr. Joel a few lost souls along the way and he's been gracious enough to find them really wonderful homes, although I know it was a bit of an inconvenience - he's always very busy. When I discovered a 2-week old kitten under a pile of trash in an abandoned house I was inspecting -- half-furred, eyes not open yet, no sign of mom, and squalking like a wounded sea-gull -- I slipped her into my pocket and headed straight for Dr. Joel's office. He set me up with a tiny little bottle, a recipe for some sort of kitten pudding, and instructions to feed her a few drops every few hours. Now she's 13 and sleek, healthy and spunky as can be. Dr. Joel calls her ""pooter."" This Vet Hospital is not fancy, and it's not on the way to anywhere I usually go - matter of fact its several miles out of my way, but I wouldn't go anywhere else if you paid me. If you're looking a vet who really cares, and one you can actually talk to, Fisher Veterinary Hospital is the place to go. more

We have taken our Miniature Schnauzer to Dr Fisher since he was 5 weeks old (he is now 10 yrs old) He and his staff are the best! They seem to really care about the animals and are always willing to help. We now have a 5 month old malti poo we take to Dr Fisher as well. more

I am so relieved that a friend of mine recommended Dr. Fisher and his staff to me. He spent almost an hour meeting with me and examining my English bulldog. I left his office with such a wonderful feeling of calm and I am confident that Dr. Fisher's advice will help me to keep my dog in optimal condition. He has almost 30 years of experience with bulldogs and it is invaluable. The staff members were so kind and professional and Kenny gave my pup the best pedicure I have ever seen. I went to him with my cats at the recommendation of 2 friends. He was all they said - he made a fuss over the cats. I was impressed that his charges were so reasonable and that he wasn't pushing things like yearly ""senior citizen"" pet tests, heartworm tests, etc. He said he uses ""common sense"" and is upset by what people are being charged for elsewhere. I just moved here from NY and asked around for a good vet because my pup needed x-ray. I was quoted $450 in NY because of anesthesia cost. Dr. Fisher didn't need to put him under and didn't take more than he needed so it cost me $50!! Also I haven't brought in my other dog yet but I called to ask a question about him and he was willing to answer it with out saying ""I need to bring him in"" and waste my money! 100% recommend him even if you have to travel an hour! Pros: Cheap-and you get more than you pay for! Cons: Distance from home- but worth it! more

Dr. Fisher and his staff are absolutely the best! I appreciate that Dr. Fisher has kept his old but very well kept building instead of building new and charging exorbiant rates. The staff know all the animal names, ages, what they like and dislike. Dr. Fisher treated our old Pug for cancer and I came in one day and he had put ice cubes in Gus's water because ""he likes it that way."" Which I did not know. Even though Gus did not make it I always felt he got the best of care with Dr. Fisher. So, keep those dogs and cats and other pets coming to the best vet in the USA! As soon as you walk in the door, Dr. Fisher and his staff know each of our pets by name, which is quite a feat considering we have 2 dogs and 6 cats. Dr. Fisher and his staff are gentle, knowledgeable, and understanding of both pet and owner needs and concerns. We take both of our dogs there for boarding and grooming. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to others in the area. Dr. Fisher was the third vet we tried, and we could not be happier with him and everyone at Fisher Vet. more

We have been taking all of our dogs and cats to Dr. Fisher for nearly 20 years. He and his staff are awesome! He's very kind to all of the animals and people and he treats every pet as if it were his own. For most exams and simple treatments, he brings both you and the dog into the exam room so you always know exactly what's going on.The atmosphere is so relaxed, welcoming and friendly that I can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else. His recommendations for treatment are always reasonable and he definitely considers both the pet's welfare and your pocketbook when explaining all the available options for treatment. Never written a review but knew Dr. Fisher was worth the time and effort. We have been going to Dr. Fisher for almost 20 years. I was just telling him last week that my children grew up with him, boy did I feel old. He is just wonderful with your family pets, you can see how he loves his job. As far as price do not have anything else to compare it to except emergency vet visits, which we know how expensive that can be. But his prices cannot be bad since my husband is cheap : ) and we are still going to him. We also board our pets with him, and always have a great vacation knowing they are taken care of. I have been going to Dr. Fisher for atleast 20 years. I have never had one complaint in all this time. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He has great prices, he is great with the animals and you know you are getting the best care for your pets. From checkups to boarding they are the best place to go! I have been taking 2 of my dogs and my cat to Dr.Fisher for the past 2 years and everyone at the clinic is absolutely wonderful with all of them. I board them there as well and I can relax on my vacations knowing that my babies are very well taken care of.
