First, Fisher Lumber has moved to the southwest corner of Lincoln Blvd and Colorado in Santa Monica. 1600 Lincoln Blvd Santa Monica, CA 90404 Neighborhood: Santa Monica (310) 581-8497 Second, I've always appreciated them as the LOCAL hardware and lumber company.... They are so much better than slogging down to Home Depot. Give them a visit and judge for yourself. more

quality lumber. 1/24/2007

I like fisher lumber for its selection. They have material I can't find at a place like Home Depot. They have material for real builders. I build to last, so I avoid Home Depot-there is no quality at Home Depot. Fisher Lumber is the kind of Company I look for to supply me with what I need to build homes and remodel. If you are looking for someplace to return fans, I suggest Home Depot. more

Inexusably Terrible Service and Poor Business Practices 7/31/2006

I bought an industrial fan from this store, it broke one week after I purchased it. I called to see if i could exchange it, none in stock. Fair enough. Asked if I could be put on a que for a new fan, not possible. called to see if I could return it with the reciept and no box. They said no problem. my boyfriend and I went to return the fan but the guy said he wouldn't take it without a box and the fan was now our problem. I told him he sold us faulty merchandise and so it is the store's responsiblity not the customer. We had the reciept, it was fine on the phone. He took a flipant attitude, so I asked to speak to the manager. He claimed he was the manager, made adolescent, sexist remarks and then through us out of ""his"" store. This company recently went back into business, there is a reason they went out of business. No wonder the place was empty on a saturday afternoon. I'm in the film industry and deal with hardware stores all the time and have never had any trouble. THIS IS STEALING! With all the other hardware stores in the surrounding area I strongly recomend you choose one of them. more
