I am a Fisher finatic 3/21/2006

I love fishers beyond belief. It has awesome prices and they have a nice and large collection without feeling as though you are selling out to wal-mart. I love their scrapbook supplies because all their paper is really cheap and they sell it by the individual sheet or bulk. I also love their pen collection. Watch for sales because sometimes things are really really cheap. I also love the random stuff you can get in there. more

One Stop Cheap Supplies 12/31/2005

All you need for your home and office is here at Fisher Hawaii. They seem to have anything and everything you can think of - at a very good price too! They also have a good art supply section that I love visiting. Fisher Hawaii is more like a warehouse so it is not the most pleasant place to shop but it just simply does its job. For the price you pay, what can you expect right? more

Fun place to search for stuff 12/1/2005

I actually like the seemingly disorganized space they call Fisher Hawaii. They definitely have affordable prices and tons of them. I've always found the supplies I've needed there and they usually have a good array of choices. If your item you're looking for is something that isn't so common, your choices may not be that big though. Like the other posters, some items are old and have been there for awhile so you have to be careful what you pick up. Some things can be faded or very dusty. But the whole experience is actually fun too. They always have tons of specials and unusual items. It's like treasure hunting. The staff there are really nice and helpful too. Parking is limited but you can usually find one. I really like their selection of pens and mechanical pencils. I have one that I could not find anywhere else...wish I didn't lose it since I'm not in Hawaii anymore. more

Fisher Hawaii - where you can get cheap office supplies 10/17/2005

I always shop my school supplies at Fisher Hawaii, especially the one in Downtown because it's near my university. They carry a wide range of office/school supplies from pens to office furniture - chair, table, and so on. another branch that i like to go is the one on Cooke St. this branch is a huge warehouse. if you order office furnitures from them, they also have assembling service for you with a reasonable service charge. Their price is definitely cheaper than other suppliers -OfficeMax and Office Depot. Even though it's kind of hard to find the stuff , you can ask for some help from thier staffs. They are really helpful. Because the warehouse is kind of dirty, you might have to get rid of all the dust that cover the items. Please make sure or check the item you pick is not open yet. sometimes i got missing items in my package that i bought. Parking is available, but limited. more

Cheap stuff if you can stand the lay out 10/5/2005

Fisher Hawaii definitely has the cheapest supply in town if you are willing to search around the warehouse. They really carry everything! From colored papers to office supplies to desks and printers. It is a pretty big warehouse, with no AC, and very little staff. But you'll sure to find a good deal because they always have sales! more

Complete Stationary Basics 8/21/2005

Fisher is a no frills stationary warehouse. They have lots of inventory and lots of staff to help you find the things that you need. One tip, they often have older stock, which is priced differently from the newer stock. Look for the difference in price and choose the cheaper. You might have to dust the item off first! more

Tons of office supplies and school art boards 8/19/2005

The first thing I'd like to mention is the place is literally a warehouse. The last time I was there, no air conditioning was available, and I bet they still don't have any. However, when the wife needed colored art boards Fisher was the place to go. They had a bunch of colors and all at a very competitive price. Parking is right in front and almost always available. Their checkout system is a bit archaic and could use some modernization. more

everything you need in office supplies 8/18/2005

When they have a sale it's crazy. A four or five page ad filled with 100's of products at great prices pulls you to their store which resembles more of a warehouse filled w/products. You almost need a map to find your way around. It's a bit overwhelming if all you need is paperclips, but few stores here will have so many products in so many varieties as this. However, if you have tech or computer needs you might want to go elsewhere as the selection of those aren't too good, Parking can be hard to find especially during the sales and the checkout can be tiresome as they don't scan upc's (they manually punch in prices). more

Office supplies. Period. 8/18/2005

With Fisher Hawaii, Office Depot and OfficeMax all within a few mile radius of one another, how does Fisher stand out above the national chains? Easy. They focus on office supplies and the variety that comes with it. At first glance, the chains seem to match Fisher -- how many different kind of pens do we really need? Dig down deeper, however, and it's obvious where the national control on inventory limits Depot and Max. A good example: I was looking for a light blue, legal-size file folder. Depot did not carry that color except in a variety pack. Max did not carry it in legal-size. I went to Fisher and not only found that color and size, but also could have bought just one (instead of a whole box) if I so desired. Fisher is not always the cheapest, though they do a decent job demonstrating (using large signs in the store) that they are competitive with Max and Depot. more
