Give Thee Fish Bowl for Bird Supplies 1/17/2006

I used to live in Evanston a few years back and visited this store from time-to-time. The staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. For birds, they've got many different bird food lines, all of the must-haves, and many of the nice-to-haves. Give them a call or just stop by. Hope this helps. more

Cute pets manhandled for a price 8/27/2005

This place has a large variety of pets. You can find lots of fish, bunnies, ferrets, mice, kittens, puppies and even parakeets sometimes. The place is very small and sometimes get stinky but it is a nice neighborhood addition. The prices are a bit extravagant but that is driven by demand. The assistants don't know much about the animals so don't bother asking, do your own research if you are really interested. I'm a bit disturbed by how I see the pets handled. They are often carelessly thrown into their crates or dropped. more

Small but fun 8/21/2005

This pet shop seems to be squeezed into 2 rooms, but they have lots of fish to choose from: small animals like rabbits, iguanas, ferrets, mice, and some kitties. And a room with accessories, like dog dishes and leashes and pet toys. Typically the owner's pets are roaming around too. Very nice local pet shop. more

Town Pet Store Feel 8/12/2005

I entered this pet store on the recommendation of a friend, and was surprised to find that a pet store could be so deceiving from the outside. The Thee Fish Bowl pet store looks a bit run down from the outside, but inside are some pretty neat pets. They have fresh and salt water fish, and underwater plants I've only seen at an aquarium! There are also reptiles, rabbits, and birds. The back room is where you can find cats and dogs for adoption. The cats roam freely about the store so don't be alarmed. Overall, a pretty good selection for a local pet store. more
