Saturday 7/31/10
On Saturday July 31, 2010 I called FirstTrust Investigations, apparently they operate under a license held by David Rowland. I left a message for someone to call me back.
Monday 8/2/10
I received a call back from Linda Filoon, David Rowland's partner on Monday. She told me she would call her expert and license holder, David Rowland and have him call me back.
Monday evening he called me back. I spoke to Dave and wanted to meet with him immediately. He said he couldn't meet with me until Thursday. So I agreed and we set up a meeting for Thursday 8/5 at my attorney's office. I went to the meeting, and thought he wasn't going to show up because we were there so long and he never came in. Then, when I came out of the office he was there. He told me that he had been across the street at some other building instead. I don't know why, because my attorney's sign is HUGE and directly in front of her office. I gave him all of the information he needed. He said he was going to start that evening. He did not know what section of Levittown the street the subject of the investigation lives on is in. And remember, this company is BASED in Levittown. I asked him if he had a GPS, but he said he left it in his other vehicle. I asked him if he had his camera, and video equipment with him. He said NO. Overall, he was not prepared to start yet. After our meeting he called me and asked me for directions. He couldn't find the house. I have a friend who was there during my conversation with Dave, she heard all of this go on. He then told me he would go home and get his GPS.
Friday 8/6/10 9am
I met Dave Rowland in my lawyers parking lot. He told me that he had been at the house performing surveillance and he had been caught by a neighbor, but not to worry, it was no problem, he had another vehicle he would be using. I signed the contract and gave him $750 cash as he had requested. He said he has a day job in Doylestown, but that it would not interfere with the investigation. I told him to keep in touch with me with a phone call or a text message with updates every day. That evening I didn't hear from him so I called him a few times and he never called back.
Saturday 8/7/10
I called Dave a few more times with no return call.
Sunday 8/8/10
I called Dave several more times with no return call.
Monday 8/9/10
I called Dave again throughout the day with no return call. Finally around 8:30 ? 9:00pm my witness and I drove over to Dave's house to get an update since he said he would be working on the case all weekend. He said that he had not performed any surveillance because he had company at his home all weekend. So now it's Monday night and he has still done nothing. On his first outing he had been caught. At that point I told him that he was fired and that I wanted my money back. He said he had to write up a report and that he would have that done the next day and return the balance of my money to me then.
Monday 8/10/10
I called Dave to set up a time to get my money back and pick up a report ? although I don't think the report would have served any purpose other than to outline the ineffectualness of the investigator. He didn't answer the phone and I left a message. He then called me back and asked me if we could start over. He said he had company over the weekend and that?s why he couldn't do any surveillance, but the report still wasn't ready. I told him No, and that I wanted my money back. He said that he would call me when he had the money and the report ready.
Wednesday 9/8/10 ? MORE THAN ONE WHOLE MONTH from the time I originally contacted his company.
1:43pm I called Dave's phone, no answer.
1:55pm Dave called me back and told me the report still was not done and to call him tomorrow.
Today is 9/10/10, and I still haven't received my money back. I didn't even want to give them one star, but you're not allowed to post with none.
