WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY 9/2/2011

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I was shopping several companies to move my things from Texas to Illinois. Spoke to Mike a few times and he tricked me to thinking they were a "great company", well that was a LIE. He took my information, so I thought. I gave him a complete list of all the items that were to be moved for a proper quote. When it came to the moving day, I had flown to San Antonio the day before so I could be there early for the moving truck. I get a call 30 minutes before the truck was to arrive and was told the truck state stickers were out of date. First RED flag. They then tell me they will be there the next day. They show up 30 minutes late. I ask how long it will take, as I had a flight home later that day. He tells me about an hour. Three and a half hours later they are finally done loading the truck. At this point they tell me the cubic footage is a lot higher that they were expecting and I was going to be charged an extra $600. I had no time to fight this as all my stuff was loaded and my car rental was due back in 15 minutes. I get home and get a call several days later to inform me my stuff was on its way. I begin to talk to the dispatcher about the extra cost. I tell him for this price I could have moved this myself for less. he then tells me "next time don't use us, I insist, do not use our company ever again". This is how they talk to their clients. We go back and forth, they never return phone calls. I find out later that Mike, who signed me up, got fired for giving low-ball quotes to sign people up. A whole month later I finally get "MOST" of my stuff. I have a lot of new furniture. The coffee table is missing as well as a lamp and both lamp shades. In addition, my couches have scratches and tears all over, both my end tables have scratches on the legs and chips on the sides, top and corners. The lamp that did arrive has LARGE scratches all over. My TV stand is cracked and can not be saved. This is by far the worst moving company. I am letting everyone I know about this and my mission is to ruin this company and make them lose customers. Right now I have to go through the insurance company to file a claim, First Priority Moving tells me this will take several weeks. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY. more

Everything was wonderful. 7/5/2011

First of all, I was nervous to move everything from Texas to New York because I had heard from my friends that they have had issues with moving companies. Everything was okay though. In fact, everything was great with First Priority Movers. They were a little bit late in coming, so except for that, they were great. They were great on the phone too. From the salesman, to the last thing, everything was wonderful. more
