We just moved this past Friday to a new place and decided to use this company. They were wonderful! They came into the house, looked at everything we wanted to move, and got to moving. Every time they had a question about something (a piece of furniture or a box), they would come ask us if we would take it or if they should. They packed up all of our stuff in about 45 minutes, and when we got to our new place, they checked out the layout and 45 minutes later everything was inside. They are very fast and very nice to work with. There's a two hour minimum and they charge $90/hour, plus travel time, but it is worth every penny. We didn't have to lift a thing and they took care of everything. If we move again, we will definitely be using this company again! more

They just moved my family, with 5 guys and 2 trucks... they ware referred to me by a coworker who used them, and I have to put my 5 star stamp on his company. They did such a great job, so careful with our stuff, and they took great care to disassemble and reassemble my french door refrigerator to get it in and out of a tight spot. The movers are respectful, and been managed very well. We had a LOT of stuff, and they work quickly, efficiently, and make sure if you need something moved again or setup, they do it! They also took apart and put together my baby's crib with no problems. I had NOTHING to worry or do doing the move but direct boxes and furniture locations. THANK, YOU ROCK!!!!!!!! more

I've moved at least 15 times in my life, including a few international moves with professional moving companies, and rarely have I been as impressed as I was with 1st Mckinney Movers. Our move was very last minute and once I did a little research, I knew that 1st Mckinney Movers was the company for us. Their rates were competitive and reviews very positive. Sal, who arranged the logistics, was extremely helpful and competent, always e-mailing a confirmation of any changes I asked for and always on the ball. Our movers, Joe and Hector, were on time, courteous, and did an excellent job without a single object or wall scratched and nothing broken. It was crystal clear that they knew what they were doing and worked very quickly and efficiently to make our move as painless as possible while handling our possessions with care. I would recommend them without any hesitations or caveats, it is worth every single penny and the peace of mind you get from having a low stress move is priceless. more

I just had a solid 5 star experience with this moving company. I was moving a 2 bedroom apartment from Frisco to Mckinney. The professionalism of these guys was amazing. They showed up 15 minutes early and went to work immediately. They handled even my crappy Ikea furniture like it was 300 year old antiques & wrapped & protected everything (blankets + plastic). After seeing them maneuver dressers & a bed up a spiral staircase I can say that hands-down this is a solid crew. Two guys, $70/hr plus driving time. It took about 4 hours to move everything, and that includes hauling everything up 3 flights of stairs at the new place in 100 degree heat. Be nice to these guys and supply water & food. Tip generously because their rates are a steal. Best money I've ever spent. more

Joe and his team were brilliant. This was my 3rd move in DFW, and this was hands down the easiest (and the most stuff). The team was on-time, efficient, professional, and took care of business. They even made an extra stop once we got to our new home to pick up additional items. Since I needed a quick move, and my new place was on the top floor of a 3-story building, I decided to hire movers to do the heavy lifting. To give you an idea of how much stuff my boyfriend and I have - enough to fill a Jr. House (moving into a 1 bedroom flat). I chose 1st Mckinney Movers because of their online reviews - and they did not disappoint! They arrived right on time, ready to go. They were affordable, they treated my belongings with care, and above all else - they are SO FAST! Door to door, it took them less than 3 hours. We also had a couple of items that required additional packing materials (we packed our own goods before the movers arrived) - they were minimalists with their own materials, and I don't feel that they took advantage at all. Also, if you pay with cash, you get a 3% discount. I have been relocated for my job several times, so I have seen how other movers work - very slow, using excessive packing materials, really milking every dollar. 1st Mckinney movers was the complete opposite - I could not be happier with their service. Our two movers were also very friendly and easy to communicate with. Overall - highly recommended. When I move again, I will definitely be calling them! more

This was my first experience with hiring movers, and I couldn't imagine a better outcome. When I called to schedule my move, Lisa was quick to explain their pricing and gave me a good estimate of how long the move would take. They arrived when they said that they would, the loading and unloading went crazily fast, and they were pleasant and professional the whole time. Prompt, professional, no damage. What more can you want in a mover? We moved from a storage unit and a condo to another condo. Both condo buildings had to have elevator times scheduled. 1st Mckinney movers arrived at the storage place first 5 minutes ahead of schedule and had us completed within 3 hours as agreed. I've had some truly awful movers in my life (one guy disappeared for a long period of time -- I finally located him sitting on my toilet, yakking on his cell phone; another outfit actually showed up at 9 p.m. at night -- only 8 HOURS late). These guys, however, are FANTASTIC! I've used them twice now, and both times they were dream movers: arrived a bit early, highly professional, worked their butts off, broke nothing, no surprises or shenanigans on the bill. As long as I'm living in this area, I'll never use another. more

I've never hired movers before...frankly, because I'm sort of cheap that way. But I have to say, this was worth every penny. Even if you pack your belongings in advance (like we did, to save some ca$h), they'll provide you with wardrobe boxes for the belongings in your closet - this was a HUGE help. Before I knew what was happening, they had even packed up my cat's freaking litter box, which I would never in a million years have expected a mover to handle. Everything came out completely unscathed on the other end (I've heard horror stories about other moving companies), and they unwrapped and placed the rugs and furniture, even chiding me for trying to reposition our bedroom dresser by myself. Highly recommended!! more
