This company is complete garbage. If you want to be ignored and treated like a child then go for it. If I had read the reviews beforehand I would have NEVER chosen First Class. They respond in their reviews that they try to do right by their current and prospective tenants, but OBVIOUSLY NOT, considering out of all the reviews I have read so far on them, only ONE was good! We chose our apartment in March of this year and we found out before signing our lease that pets weren't allowed. Since I have a dog, of course I was bummed. My fiance told the agent that he really wanted the apartment and to talk to the owner and see if there was some sort of agreement or negotiation that could be made so that we could have my dog, be it that we pay a pet deposit and extra on the rent every month, which we did BOTH! We pay an extra $25 a month for my dog and I paid $150 pet deposit. The owner made the agreement that we would pay extra and that he would replace the carpet after we moved out. I decided to email them a month ago and ask if I could get that agreement in writing (because the end of our lease is coming up, and I should have done this in the beginning). A week later, I still didn't hear anything. So I called and told the woman who answered what was going on and that I just wanted an update on the situation. The woman then got an attitude and snapped at me saying that the person who they needed to talk to was ""sick"" and it would be handled when they came back. Well, that was a month ago and needless to say I haven't heard anything. I emailed them today (11/19/12) and told them that I still haven't heard anything about our situation and I actually got a response back. Come to find out, the woman who was handling our matter ""didn't work there anymore"" and the woman I was emailing back and forth was our new property manager (that was news to me, considering she never let us know of this change! Also this same woman did an inspection in our apartment with us present a few months ago and she could have told us THEN, but failed to do so!). So now, our property manager said that no such agreement was made and said that if it ""wasn't in writing, it didn't happen"" so of course I am livid! Being able to have my dog and having the carpet replaced after we left was the whole reason why we accepted the terms and moved in!!!! So I was told that the agent would have to be contacted so she could verify that her, my fiance, and the owner made this agreement. Now, in the back of my head, I know that she is going to deny it. I have a feeling that they are going to replace the carpet when we leave and charge us anyways. If this company can be blacklisted, then it needs to be done. They claim to be all about the military, but all they do is scam people! They always have an attitude and they don't even care about fixing the problem. All they care about is getting the rent money and that's it. It's a shame that my fiance, who is in the Army, and other military personnel are falling victim to their pathetic schemes. I don't see how they haven't been blacklisted already, but when they do, I will be more than content. Without the military, a lot of businesses and apartment complexes would be affected. All I can say is that if they try to screw us over on an agreement that was made they had better lawyer up! They will only have ONE chance to rectify the situation! Anyone else, which I'm sure there are many, who have issues with this company, feel free to comment!
