It is important to me that I have a good tire dealer for my car. And I used to. But my former top pick for getting new shoes on my car no longer has the exemplary service that I had grown to appreciate so much.
Within the last few years, Mark Morris Tires had the lease on their Cleveland Avenue shop run out, and decided to move down the street and merge with the Firestone store across from Coddingtown Mall. Since the change, their service has suffered. Just recently, I had a screw in a tire, causing a leak that needed patching. Usually, tire shops are willing to do the simple procedure for free, but when I called Mark Morris/Firestone, they told me that it would cost $20 and that they wouldn't be able to get to it until the next day. I called another tire shop and they told me that it would be no problem, that I could bring it by any time before they closed and they would fix it for free.
Mark Morris used to b my number one choice, but every interaction I have had with them since the merge has left a bad taste in my mouth, and the feeling that their service is going seriously flat.
