DISHONEST THEIVES!!! 1/25/2010

Many years ago, around 2003/2004 I brought my ""broken"" car to this Firestone. Here are just a few details to keep in mind while you read my story. I am a single mother and at that time I was working full time and going to school full time. I was living pay check to pay check, BARELY! Well here it is .. . When I brought my car in there it was in bad shape but, still running kinda. It was like no power was getting to the car. I dropped off my car. They called me about 7 hours later to come in. When I got there the man handed me the printed out sheet of the details and price. The price was quoted at $1300. I actually had tears coming from my eyes. I told them I did not have the money to fix it so I PAID THEM $140 for finding out what was wrong with it. I drove home and parked my car...Where it sat for NINE MONTHS while I saved the money to get it fixed.( I took the bus, taxis and relied on friends and family for rides.) I was so excited when I finally had the money to fix it. Firestone did not have a tow truck to get my car there so I called around for towing prices. The Amaco(now BP) right down the street would tow it for free if I had them fix it. I needed to save that money so I agreed. When he got there to tow my car I gave him the paper work from Firestone so he knew what to fix. He told me it would take a whole day to fix so I would be able to get it the following day. He would call when Its done. Well...I get a phone call TWO hours later. He said,""I have your car running right now."" You can get it whenever you like. I get there and find out it was a belt!!!! They changed it and charged my battery. It costed me $110. CHEAPER THEN what firestone charged me to find out what was wrong with my car! Well they charged me and LIED to get MORE MONEY!! I was blown away that the man at BP was so honest. He could have gotten all that money out of me and he did NOT do it. He was such a blessing to me. So... FIRESTONE robbed me of $140, Nine months of no car hauling my daughter on and off a bus about 8 times a day. Im so lucky they did not do the towing or I would have paid them all that money and I would have never known how DISHONEST and HORRIBLE they were. NO ONE should EVER bring their car to that place for anything!!! Even if you know whats wrong I can see them breaking something just so you have to pay them to fix it. NEVER GO HERE!!!!! Go to the BP right down the street! more

Great place to have brake work done 3/24/2007

I just brought my car here for the first time thinking I needed brake pads. I made my appointment online with no problem and dropped my car off in the morning. They discussed my car's "symptoms" and prepared me for probably needing rotors (3 times the cost). As they said they would, they called after diagnosing - before they did anything. They did not have the parts in stock, but still had the job done plenty of time before I was due to pick it up. Very personable over the phone and in person, clean shop, convenient to get to. I'll be going back for other work! more
