My college freshman son needed new tires on a 2001 Mazda 626. After reading the reviews for Firestone, I thought I could trust them to not upsell a naive kid. I was so, so wrong. I called to talk with the shop before I sent him in and got a high end quote for $70-$75/tire. I told my son to expect about that amount which after balancing, tax, disposal etc. I thought would end up to be $350 or so. Fine. I can live with that. What happened was they upsold him into tires costing $30 more and sold him an alignment. (I could have even lived with the alignment, IF they had discussed it up front.) The total bill was $576. I hope you're really happy with yourselves Firestone. You completely took advantage of a kid. You get -1 from me and no more business from anyone in our family. Oh, AND even though he had an appointment, it still took 3 HOURS to complete the job when we were told 1.5 max. Terrible and they should be ashamed!
