RIP OFF\r I went in May to have tires rotated and ask them to inspect my front brakes. The mechanic said they had plenty of pad left and good for many more months.\r Now in July I hear metal to metal sound on front brakes so I take it to Firestone to have rotors turned and new pads......The manager Tells met at first 180. for job\r Then my truck sits entire day before he looks at it finally then tells me I need a total brake job that cost 1500. dollars\r So I told him I will just take my truck to a more honest shop!\r BIGGEST SCAMMERS FIRESTONE more

I took my 97 Kia Sportage in to have the coolant system inspected due to leakage and overheating. To start things off they charged me $30.00 to pressure test the system which invovled draining out all of the coolant fluid, more on this later. So the manager comes in and tells me my water pump is shot and the timing belt needs replacement. I said ""ok, how much?"" He replied $933.00!!!!! I told him I would not pay that much and of course he went into car salesman mode explaining how the car will crash and burn within a week if I don't get this done. He then walked off and came back with a new price of $842.00. He said he found some coupons he ""didn't know about."" What a joke. Once again I said hell no give me my car back. The staff got very rude and pulled my car out with absolutely no fluid left in the system and left it. The manager said you will not find a better deal so whatever. I guess they figured it would overheat and die before I got off the lot and I would have no choice. Needless to say I filled it back up with coolant and took it to Albertos auto repair on 82nd ave and they did the entire job for $450.00! Firestone is a total RIP-OFF!! STAY AWAY. \r \r PS. I took my Ranger there after a engine light came on and it started running rough. $500.00 later, My truck runns like it needs a tune up even after they changed plugs and wires. Then the guy tries to convince me that a tranny sensor is making the truck idle rough. He even shows me his sensor reader. A friend told me he must of forgot to cycle the over drive switch giving him a false reading. I feel he knew exactly what he was doing and was setting me up for another wallet rapeing.
