Fireside Books

This bookstore is somewhere that carries a few new books, but mostly carries used books. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is often a cat lazing in the window or roaming the store which just adds friendliness. The selection of books is wonderful and everything is so organized. Each section is clearly labeled for romance, science fiction, religious etc and then in each section everything is in alphabetical order. It makes it very easy to find your favorite author or type of book. The prices are cheap for the books and they will accept fairly new, gently used books to trade in for credit. This is a much better option than paying full price somewhere else. They also have a waiting list for hard to find books. This store is a great place to shop for a variety of reading material and they do have kids books too. more

What a lovely book store. Dog Eared books offers new and used books and even "book services" - for VERY popular books that you have to be on the wait list at your local library for several months to get - you can "rent" it from Dog Eared for a small fee. Much cheaper than buying new and much faster than waiting out the list at the library. This little book store offers it all ... they even have a kitty that roams around the store checking things out! The selection of used books is HUGE and they have a credit system. You can exchange your old books for 1/4 the value and buy the used books for 1/2 the value. Their computer system keeps track of all your credits / debits for you. Stop by and shop if you get a chance. more

This is a cozy store and very well organized. Tons of used books and they are all alphabetized. The owners are very helpful and if they don't have a book they will keep an eye out for it. They will call you if they get one in. Love to browse here. more
