What a waste!!! If you biy a fish from there they will figure out a way NOT to replace it. Even after having my water tested. Both times they found "reasons" why they didn't want to give me a replacement fish. Funny since I have like 15 other fish weeks before I added that one. It died in like 4 days, yet the others are still fine 3 weeks later.. If my water was bad won't my other fish be dying too??? Don't waste your money!! go someplace else for your fish!!! more

Wouldn't go back 8/4/2010

Well, the first thing we noticed was that was a medium/large dog inside, who must be there often, because I had to leave after several minutes due to my asthma attack. There weren't other customers in there at first, then another couple came in. The ""attendant"" never said one word to us once. From beginning to end. My husband and children, stayed inside longer than I could. From what I saw, they had some selection of salt water fish to choose from. Not much in the way of freshwater tropical fish, not compared to a place like PetSmart. We had hoped to gain some more advanced knowledge than what we could get from PetSmart. But I couldn't deal with the dog following me all over the store. The store had an overwhelming ""dog smell"" that I was not expecting. Again we left without any interaction, so I would not personally, return. more

WOW! Customer Service-Amazing! 6/14/2008

Went in on a Sunday a few weeks back and caught the owner alone. He skillfully and politely navigated between a store full of customers while providing excellent advice and service. We spent nearly $300.00 in his store and never felt neglected. He was not pushy but was honest and easy to talk to. I am a novice at tanks but he never made me feel dumb for asking questions nor did he get irritated at how many I asked (unlike the big superstores). After we packed up all our purchases, (2 hoods, a german filter, driftwood, bubble wands, etc.) we noticed the hours on the door. He closed at 5PM. It was 5:43PM when we got into the car and he NEVER said a word!! Never even hinted that it was near closing time!!!!! Find that kind of service in a national retailer!!!! They'd likely shove you out the door as to stay late. Pricewise, he was not overpriced, though I am sure you could find everything we bought someplace else cheaper like eBay, but the knowledge and expertise he provided was "Priceless". He navigated us away from a less expensive canister filter and saved us a heap of money! (Now we don't have to buy 2 of them!) We've had the german filter on for 2 weeks and WOW! It's awesome! He even set up the entire filter for us because the instructions were "terrible" but the filter was great. No extra charge and he made installation so easy!! Locally owned and operated is what brought me in----Fantastic servce s what has made us lifelong, loyal customers. Hoorah to Fins of Franklin!!!! Pros: Service Service Service!!!!! Very Clean!!! Cons: Um, didn't find any! more

This is as clean as the critter. Jay seems to be knowledgeable about reef keeping and was very friendly. I will repost after i pick up my fish to let u know if it lived or not. more
