Fins Feathers & Furs Pet Shop

I recently purchased a flying squirrel and sugar glider from this store and both were healthy and happy. The atmosphere was excellent all the animals were well taken care of and the owners were very friendly and answered all the questions that I had. My wife, my daughter, and I were all greeted with smiles and helped as soon as we walked through the door. That is not something you find all the time these days. They also gave a number to reach them 24/7 in case there were any concerns. Yeah right your thinkin that was my first thought. Well got home and had a minor question later that night this was 11:30 P.M. We will see I thought ring...ring....Hello. Yeah they answered. My wife and I will never go anywhere else for a pet again. I called the shop to get a second opinion on what another pet shop had told me about sugar gliders and what they were trying to tell me and i am so happy I did. As soon as they picked up the phone i was greeted with a friendly voice and tons of helpful information. I headed straight to the store after hanging up and was helped right away. They not only remembered the call but helped me within seconds of stepping through the door. I wasn't targeted as just a possible customer but was met by deep concern for my current sugar glider.||[] I fell victim to a glider scam they were already knowledgable of and they provided me with the tools and a packet of information to make my little guy happy and healthy. If it wasn't for Fins Feathers & Furs I never would have known about glider self mutilization and it could have cost me his life. I am so impressed with thier service that I walked out of the store with a new cage ( which i got for a great price) and will be buying my second glider from them with in the next few weeks. Our family is stationed out at McGuire AFB in Burlington County, NJ. So we aren't really familiar with the area. We just moved back to the East Coast about a year and a half ago from New Mexico where we were stationed last. We have been researching sugar gliders for quite some time now. And it has been hard to find a reputable and really knowledgable pet store/breeder that had these wonderful animals that were taken care of within their store and from their suppliers. In going to the first pet store we found, we did not get a very good feel for this place. In not really knowing the area, we really were kind of at whits end on finding a place locally to acquire the animals. Then my husband was looking on hoobly.com and found Fins, Feathers & Furs. WOW! What an amazing store!! This last week we purchased our 2 female standard gliders. Our family couldn't be happier with them. Ironically, my mom and her boyfriend came down from Cape Cod, MA to visit for my birthday this past Saturday and they both enjoyed holding and playing with our new bundles of joy. They are in great health and temperment. I want to thank Dominick and Lisa for their knowledge and information regarding our purchase as well as making us feel at home within their store. I DON'T SEE HOW AN OWNER FROM ANOTHER STORE WOULD COME ONTO ANOTHER STORE'S REVIEW PAGE AND POST A DERAGOTORY REVIEW, JUST TO BE CHILDISH AND HURT ANOTHER BUSINESS. SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T WELCOME COMPETITION AND I GUESS WHEN YOU HAVE TO HORRIBLE REPUTATION THAT THIS OTHER PET SHOP HAS RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM FINS FEATHERS AND FURS AND THEY HAVE A GREAT REPUTATION AND LIVE UP TO ALL THEY PROMISE THIER CUSTOMERS I GUESS THIS OTHER PET SHOP FELT THEY HAD NO CHOICE. I WAS FOOLED BY 88 PET WORLD WHEN I BOUGHT A SUGAR GLIDER AND IT DIED THE SAME WEEK AND THE OWNER TOLD ME WHEN I CALLED PRIOR TO IT DYING IT WAS JUST VERY DOCILE AND TAME, SO DOCILE IT DIED. WHEN I CALLED TO TELL THE OWNER THIS HE SAID IT WAS MY FAULT AND WOULD DO NOTHING FOR ME BESIDES SELL ME ANOTHER SICK SUGAR GLIDER AT FULL PRICE. I BOUGHT 2 SUGAR GLIDERS FROM FINS FEATHERS AND FURS PET SHOP OVER A MONTH AGO AND THEY ARE BOTH VERY HEALTHY, SWEET, ENERGETIC AND VERY COMICAL. THEY WENT OUT OF THIER WAY TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW AND EVEN GAVE ME AN INFO PACKET THAT WAS PUT TOGETHER VERY GOOD AND IN SHORT EXPLAINED EVERYTHING A SDUGAR GLIDER OWNER SHOULD TELL ME AND EVERYTHING THE OTHER PET SHOP DID NOT. THERE IT WAS BUY AND GO. THE STAFF AT FINS FEATHERS AND FURS HAS GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF ALL THIER ANIMALS AND EVERYTHING THEY TOLD ME TO DO TO TAKE CARE OF MY NEW GLIDERS MY VET SAID THEY WERE DEAD ON AND VERY FULL OF KNOWLEDGE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE REVIEW TITLED WORSTT STORE EVER THE WORST STORE EVER IS THE ONE THAT WROTE THE REVIEW AGAINST A GREAT PET SHOP AND MAYBE ONE DAY HE WILL GROW UP, CLEAN UP HIS STORE, STOP LYING TO CUSTOMERS AND SELL FISH THAT WHAT KILL YOUR WHOLE TANK AND ANIMALS THAT WILL LAST MORE THAN A WEEK. more

I just purchased two amazing sugar gliders from here! They are extremely healthy, fun, and loving to everyone they meet. Everyone at Fins, Feathers & Furs were so terrific and took a lot of time to help explain things. They also had all the accerscories I needed to get started. I highly recommend them!!! more

Love this place! Best price for any fish around. I go as far as Elizabeth NJ to buy fish and this place can get you what you need and charges you the slowest prices possible.||[]"Big Fish Dom" specializes in rare/hard to find salt & freshwater fishes. But he also carries a wide selection of marsupials, (Sugar Gliders, Chinchillas, etc) bird & reptiles(snakes & lizards). He is the only store owner I've met that cares for his pet so much that he will ask you the extent of your knowledge of the pet you want and will suggest techniques and even give you written info on how to best take care of your pet. more
