Editorial review from Citysearch 6/1/2013

I would just like to say that my service with Finders Keeps Variety store was very pleasent. The service guy Bob very cheerful in spirit when taking my order and when I had questions. I needed that kind of service after a stressful day at work! I've read some of the comments and you all have a right to your opinion but most the comments seems to come from the fact that they are trying to protect their goods. Look they are running a business and people have to be cautions when people enter their hard place of business. Maybe I relate but people will smile in your face, use their children, and you name it to take stuff. I wanted some novelty Licenses and I can't wait for them to come! We all have days but if they came of too cautions give them a break and if they said sorry...move on. I would recommend putting a sign in the window or door that state this recommendation onwer's, to avoid saying anything and then speaking if they can't read the sign. I look toward shopping with you all again when I need to find that rare find. Thanks for you businness and wonderful high spirit tone of voice ! Ms. Angela Chin more

Terrible owner 5/20/2012

When I first entered the store I was ordered to leave my bag of recently purchased books, from another store, on a chair. He claims this is done politely but it is done as an order. This made me and my wife immediately decide that we would not be purchasing any item at the store, ever. When we were leaving, the owner did try to become helpful and I explained to him that the way we were greeted was perceived as rude. He asked how I would deal with this and I suggested that if he had to have this policy a hello and if you don't want to have to carry that you can leave the bag at the front desk. He decided to argue with me instead of apologizing. I tried to explain why this was a poor way of dealing with customers nicely but I gave up as he apparently has had a problem with shoplifters and didn't want to listen. As I left the store he muttered an insult to me in front of another customer. I will also consider his response to the previous person who had the same experience. I am sorry you, the store owner, have had many issues with theft that is terrible and I don?t wish that on anyone, but the way you handle potential customers is unacceptable. You are right you are not going to please people all the time but it is important to try to be welcoming to customers and not to argue or insult them. The way you run your customer service is abysmal and you cannot argue that away. more

RUDE!!!!!!!! 4/30/2011

if I could rate them no stars I would!! We have shopped here previously and have over looked the store owners oddness. But my daughter and I were treated EXTREMELY rudely. Upon entering the store, we did not recieve a friendly greeting, rather we were asked to leave our purses behind the counter with the store owners. When I explained that I was not comfortable with that, because my wallet, keys and camera were in my bag. One of the owners LOUDLY announced that he would just go watch us on their cameras. Wow! Nothing like assuming people who CHOOSE to shop in your store are theives. The other owner went on to explain that Hardings, another local store does the same thing. This is totally incorrect, I shop at Harding all the time, they do not do this. I will never, ever return to Finder's Keepers. Their lack of customer service and extremely rude attidutes have cost them our shopping and our dollars! RUDE! BEWARE!!!! more
