Our veterinarian, Dr. Lidikay, makes sure to discuss your pet's needs with you in detail. Our clients often remark how Dr. Lidikay spends much more time than other doctors have spent. He clearly explains your pet's healthcare in detail and is always willing to answer questions. We are a fully-equipped small animal hospital providing compassionate, high quality veterinary care for your loved ones. Our professional staff are able to meet nearly every medical need from general well pet care to intense emergency care. Dr. Lidikay and his staff keep up to date and on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine by attending conventions, seminars and workshops and through memberships with the S.B.V.V.M.A., C.V.M.A. and A.V.M.A. Our facility also works closely with local veterinary specialists to ensure that your pets have access to any necessary care through referrals. Basic Services: Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide complete diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' health care needs. Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite is well equipped and maintained, allowing us to perform general surgeries ranging from elective surgery to emergency surgery. Surgical sterilization (spay and neuter), tumor removal, exploratory, cesarean section, surgical artificial insemination, perineal urethrostomy, and intestinal obstruction surgeries are performed often on dogs, cats, and occasionally rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and ferrets. Dr. Lidikay has extensive experience with surgeries common to bulldog breeds as well as many other breeds, such as elongated soft palate repair, stenotic nares repair, entropion repair, cherry eye repair and c-sections. Anesthesia: Many clients are concerned about the safety of general anesthesia. Because we consider your pets as part of our family, we see to it that our anesthesia protocol is as safe as possible. The protocol that we use for our patients is formulated specifically for each patient, taking your pet's age, breed and general health into consideration. We use state of the art inhalation anesthesia consisting of isoflurane and pure oxygen delivered via an endotracheal tube. An IV catheter delivers IV fluids and pain medications as well as providing instant vein access in the event of an anesthetic complication. Our patients are monitored by Dr. Lidikay and his well-trained, experienced assistants throughout the procedure and during anesthetic recovery until they are able to safely breathe on their own. During the procedure vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature and breathing, are closely monitored to help us detect any concerns early and minimize complications. Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. Electrocardiography Services: We provide E.C.G. services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
