Fila Bene Ristorante Italiano

My girlfriend and I dined at Fila Bene just 2 evenings ago which was my 1st encounter. She has dined there several times at this new restaurant with her husband. Calderone was wonderful when they occuplied that corner..not only great food but excellent service. This was hardly the case we experienced. We have several drinks and appetizers at the bar and then decided to be seated for dinner. Maybe 5 tables were occuplied. The bartender (NOT sure if he is the owner) seated us. My friend had commented how ""RUDE"" the owner was from their last visit, however...we proceeded to order salads to start and another round of wine. Salad was served and within 5 minutes the bartender says, ""your entrees will be right out ladies""!...REALLY!? I actually said to him, I expected the kitchen staff to keep the entrees warm in the kitchen while we at least finished our salad. Nope...2 minutes later, here come the plates..put your salads off to the side and let your plate sit cooling...REALLY? To finish it off, my friend orders coffee, not me...she drinks 3/4 of the cup...there was a 1/4 cp. of coffee grounds floating in the bottom...I told the waitress you need to take at the least the coffee off the bill. Needless to say ""NEVER AGAIN"". In this economy, sorry but my money is good anywhere and you can find a dozen good Italian places in MKE that serve up great food without attitude ! I don't foresee those doors being open much longer. more

we were weekly delivery customers for over a year, when we got a REALLY bad pizza. It can happen -- normally the food is really good, delivery is something reliable, etc. We called to complain as soon as we opened the box, and the owner(?) or manager pretty much said ""too bad."" We completely stopped going there, or ordering...all over a $20 pizza. Interesting customer service... Garlic bread is over priced and NOTHING exceptional at all. Eggplant, however, is TRULY exceptional and fabulous, and so is the Italian sausage. Pros: open for lunch Cons: management doesn't care more

The Owner treated us very, very bad! And when I brought it to his attention that he shouldn't treat his customers the way he did, he said he was going to call the cops on me. Just because I told him, I was going to put how he treated us on reviews, on the internet, we will never, ever, go there again ever!!!!!! Pros: NOTHING! Cons: THE OWNER more

We love this place! The homemade pasta is amazing and all the sauces are amazing. Great service with a nice atmosphere. Prefer dinner over lunch - but lunch is great too!!! Pros: Food, Service Cons: Limited wine list, noisy patio more
