Well, before I found a place work paid for a hotel for a month and the W was the place. After all the hype I must say I was not imporessed with the service (with the exception of the front desk). I even refused to tip one of the women at the bar in the lobby who practically threw my wine at me after slopping it in a glass .... not what I expedted. The bars and restaurants are ok if not a bit pretensious. The lounge area in the lobby is a nice place to relax. The rooms are small althiugh if you upgrade the rooms are ok. NY rooms tend to be small anyway. The Spa attached to the hotel is great and the Gym is pretty good for a hotel. Overall I choose to stay elsewhere if I had to and dont recoomend this place to friends.
