I used to hang out at the Fifth String in the early '80.s I took flatpicking from John Green. I think his bluegrass sensibilities were put off by the jumbo Guild I had. So, I bought a 73 D-45. I remember the look on his face when he saw the D-45. I'm sure he was thinking, "" Now there's an example of way too much guitar for that guy!!"" Someone told me that the Fifth String burned and was no longer in business. Boy am I glad you're still there!!! Pros: Everything!!! Cons: It's in Sacramento...I'm in Beaumont, TEXAS!!!!! more
