Three of us ate there and most items ordered were not very good. The exception was the veal francaise I had which was excellent. The pork chop was over cooked as was the duck. The key lime pie just tasted like sugar. The service was very good. more

If you like being ignored by your service, this is the place for you. Don't bother complaining to the manager (NicK), he can care less. it doesn't matter how good the food is, if the service is poor the entire dining experience is ruined. more

Why does anyone ever go here? Service is so poor, mangager (Nick) won't even talk to you about it.. more

7 of us went to the grill ifor a birthday celebration. For Some of us the food was cold and the other complaint was shoeleather like veal. I realize this was a summer menu, but did not expect this type of meal. Also my dessert was Tiramusu and this arrived sour. Would never go back thre again or recommend this to anyone.\r This was not my first time there, so I was very disappointed. The service was great, but the food left a lot to be desired. more

This place has really good steaks, our favorite is the deep fried fillet., well seasoned and cooked to order. like nothing you've ever had. nice over sized booths make it very comfortable especially with a large group. Nice dark setting. more

For $40+ per plate you would expect to be treated with respect. Don't expect that here! Management badgered my girlfriend about her steak being cold. We didn't want a comp...even told him to microwave it was fine! (We are very easy going because I myself am a server of 15 years) When walking away from the table manager muttered "Jesus Christ these people" upon returning he continued with the negativity which really isn't worth getting into but I will assure you that my girlfriend has never been talked to like that before and I will do my part in making sure it doesn't happen again by not dining at Fifth Ave. Grill. Cold food I can deal with. Cold people... not so much. Save your money you will have a better experience ANYWHERE ELSE! more

Nothing worse than a bad expensive steak joint ...... Look m\r No further!!! This old school watering hole for octogenarians of lighthouse point relies on the fact that old folk have no idea what they are eating or how it is served to them. \r \r This joint competes on a price scale with any good steakhouse, mortons chops abe and Lou ;;; but !!!!!!\r \r You have too meet the waitress to know what bad staff is!! \r Fawlty towers is nothing on this!!! \r \r 4 ate a crap dinner. Sent it all back twice still all came back wrong. We gave up after that and ate. $500 of crap \r \r Anywhere but this joint unless you like the smell of old pee and bad food. Glta more

Whenever Mom runs up to NY to see family, leaving Pop unsupervised, Pop and I go for a 'manly meal' at the 5th Avenue Grill. No tilapia here; steaks, chops, lobster in a classic setting with outstanding service (Thanks Tara).\r \r I had the 'Fryed Filet' where they take a filet mignon and first deep fry it. You are probably thinking, great, it must be like shoe leather. No, comes out perfectly medium rare. Baked potato (of course) and a side of incredible creamed spinach. Pop had lamb chops that were cooked to a perfect medium rare.\r \r There is an extensive wine list that is fairly priced with selections leaning towards steakhouse fare (Drink white wine when all the red is gone!).\r \r Classic full bar in the front with a piano player with grill seating or dining room if you prefer a little quiet. more

Warm ambiance, comfortable booths. Fair salads, tangy conch soup. Perfectly seared steaks, delicious texture shoestring fries. Vegetables nicely sauced--and our party commented that their baked potatoes were so good that they ate the whole thing. Bubbly service. more
