Fess Parker Winery

Of all the local wineries dragged down by the popularity of the movie 'Sideways', Fess Parker is perhaps the biggest victim. It's the site of the scene where a character drinks from the bucket of wine and saliva discards. I'm sure the tasting room has had it's fill of morons who cheerfully and drunkenly try to re-enact the scene.\r \r Sad, because Fess Parker is a beautiful winery. It's the perfect spot for a picnic and the tasting room has a wonderful ambience to it. Wine tasting used to consists of a day of sipping small samplings of local wines, maybe having a nice little lunch along the way, and buying special wines. The Fess Parker (Daniel Boone) Winery & Vineyard is situated on a beautiful piece of property in the Santa Ynez valley. I loved the wine so much that I became a member of their Wine Club so I can enjoy their wines year round. more
