The food is to die for.. I am from Texas and took my Dad and step-mom (who is Lebanese) here when they came to visit. They loved it, she makes her own and this is pretty close. My dad ordered the iron steak and said it was the best he's ever had and this is coming from a Texan.. Love the Kibbie, hummus and beef kabobs.. Going there tonight for my birthday.. more

Ferdo's has the standard dishes you'd expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. I've been twice, and ordered the appetizer sampler both times. Hummus, grape leaves (available in meat-free version), baba-ghannouj, etc, all very well-prepared and fresh. My boyfriend is an omnivore and enjoyed the grilled chicken breast dish. I had a glass of red wine, and he had a Greek beer, which I tasted and found very pleasing. Service was very polite and accommodating; all the prices are reasonable.\r \r We went on a night when they had a belly dancer, and in my opinion the music was too loud for such a small space. Furthermore, I prefer to be left in peace while I'm at dinner; the dancer will attempt to get you involved in the show. \r \r Definitely would recommend for the Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. more

I love this restaurant! I usually go there for lunch (the prices r cheaper & the quality of the food is the same as dinner). I always get their shish-tawook (chicken skewers) with the cucumber sauce (to die for)!! The atmosphere is nice and the servers r always accomodating to ur needs! If i could go there once a week, i would!! I recomend this place to any1 who loves good Greek food! more

Our new most favorite takeout place 4/15/2010

We've taken out from Ferdo's twice in the past few weeks. They're always super nice and polite on the phone. The food is outstanding. Their dish,""hummus and more"" quickly became my most craveable favorite. The hummus is smooth full of garlic and flavorful, the beef delicious, and the menagerie of vegetables were all cooked to perfection. It was a deeeeelicious dish for $12.95, and I even have enough for lunch tomorrow. They even included a ton of pita triangles for us to enjoy with our meal. At times, the meat can be a BIT dry. IE: my beef was cooked well-done. I prefer it medium rare. I will be sure to specify the way I want it cooked next time.\r \r This is a place that doesn't skimp on the portions or quality-a very hard combination to find. I understand they also have belly dancers on certain nights-check their website. We have yet to eat inside, but it looks like a very classy place to enjoy a nice evening out. Out of the 3 most popular Mediterranean restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, i've had the freshest tasting food, and best service at Ferdo's. Pros: AMAZING food, and friendly service Cons: Nothing more

I've been eating at Ferdos for the past two years, and am still addicted to their hummus and chicken kababs. Good service, excellent food, very reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. I see my self continuing to go there at least once a week, its worth the drive to have the best mid-eastern food in south florida. more

Best Mediterranean Food in Fort Lauderdale! 12/5/2007

This place is awesome! Friendly service, amazing food and good entertainment on weekend nights (bellydancing). My suggestions for dishes there are...\r Appetizer: Arayes! Yummy kafta grilled inside pita bread and served with hummus\r Entree: Gyro or Hummus and more (I get mine with beef and chicken). \r \r Everything here is good! Yay for good local independent restaurants! more
