Fenway Community Health Ctr

First- they have not been at 7 Haviland St. for almost a year now.. They moved from there to 1340 Boylston St. (near Fenway Park). This the best Community health center I have seen for a very, very long time. In just one building I have my Primary Care, my Optical, Dental and Mental Health services. The pharmacy staff is outstanding as are the folks in the Lab (which is through Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). The care and compassion are awesome. I love the new building because it's now a "walk to" thing instead of a take a cab or busses. Very modern facility, excellent staff and very community oriented. If you are new to the area and looking for healthcare that is a cut above.. this is the place you want to call or go to. more

I like the new facility, and the convenience of having the Dr. office, lab, pharmacy, dentist, and optometrist all in one. It's gay friendly, women friendly, racially diverse... a nice place. I have to agree a little with the "assembly line" comment from another review... the service is not nearly as personal as it was over on Haviland St a decade ago. more

My most recent experiences at Fenway have caused me to file a formal complaint with the Department of Public Health. I am contemplating a complaint with the Board of Registration in Medicine. Despite desperate pleas for help at Fenway, from as high up as their CEO and Board of Directors, I was virtually ignored. I was refused diagnostic testing of my choice by Fenway. And oh, by the way, I DO have insurance and I know my body quite well. Fenway is affiliated with Beth Israel, where I was misdiagnosed with a serious illness the previous year. So I'd keep away from both of these places if you have anything beyond a basic issue. Just the stress alone of dealing with them almost killed me and might do the same to you. more

It's a place that one can find answers to there problems if any...good place more

I started going here because it is literally a five minute walk from my place and I was too lazy to put a lot of research into finding a doctor. The service there is fine, but it's impersonal and fast, more of an assembly line than anything. I did like that if you need to get blood taken, there is a facility in the health center. more
