Deborah Feller is one of the most important people in my life and has provided incredible guidance/therapy- her approach is based in years of experience,t expertise in complex topics, and the ability to really connect sincerely- with me- ithat my past therapists never came close to doing .
She is a real person and creates an atmosphere that is comfortable- the office is like a living room and very safe. Deborah's approach is often sort of casual in tone, but the content is deep. I can't believe how much we cover and how far I have come.
I trusted her immediately, loved that she was opinionated and real. I find what she and I talk about resonates on so many levels and is useful. She is not a guru or anything, but someone with a rare skill, intelligence and rare ability.
I should note that the workrI've been pursuing is not easy- She has been supportive, checked in with me often via phone as well as during appointments, and always aware of what is going on.
I should note that being an artist. also helps me to work with her so closely. Deborah is an incredible painter/knows about creative process in all genres- this is something we use in therapy. She really sees the connections.
Finally, Deborah wants what is best for her clients-makes it clear that therapy requires a leap of faith, trust, and is not easy- I have confidence that she would never just nod for a pay check. She is rare and I recommend that anyone pursuing therapy meet with her.
I ADORE HER AND THINK THAT ANYONE PURSUING THERAPY SHOULD MEET WITH HER.
Pros: Brilliant, compassionate, honest, and open
Cons: Finances limit my appointments with her- rate is fair
