Great Service and Friendly Staff 1/13/2011

Feist by Byerly's Golden Valley is a GEM! I go nearly every morning and have always been treated well from day one! On cold days, they've come out to fill my tank and wash my windows at no charge. Extremely fair prices on oil changes and other services that I've had done and always done in a timely fashion. The guys there are great! more

Solid place 2/19/2010

It's too bad there seem to be a number of reviews by someone (several) with a grudge...former employee? This is a good solid place, no cleaner or dirtier than any other repair shop. Review what's being suggested and make an educated decision. They do a good job. more

Golden Valley Sinclair 5/22/2008

I bring my care nowhere else. Dave, the head mechanic is the most fair, knowledgeable mechanic I have ever worked with. He is really patient with me, too. I have had many friends bring him their cars and have never heard a complaint. I buy my gas there because it's convenient, but would follow Dave to the other end of town if he left. Oh wait, I did follow him to the other end of town and then back again when the owners of the Sinclair quickly realised how valuable Dave is. more

Not Bad 3/6/2008

I just moved to Minneapolis about 3 months ago, and I live just down the road from the Sinclair gas station at hwy 100 and duluth street. It is a very old building, walls need some paint, but not a bad little service station. I have only gone there after work, and the evening workers are all young and very outgoing. I am a middle aged, healthy male, and I have been offered multiple times for my tires to be checked. Very nice young men working there. As I stated before, they could probably use a little construction, but a very pleasant gas station with nice employees. I will continue to get gas there. more

Great Service!!! 3/1/2008

I have been going to the Golden Valley Sinclair now for 12 years. It has had the same owner for over 20 years or something like that. I have had all my cars in there to get work done on them, from a simple oil change to more serious engine and transmission work. The service was great, they were honest with me on the prices and had my car finished in great time. Also, the gas station alone is very helpful. They are always willing to check my tire pressure and fill up my gas for me. It is a treat to go to Sinclair. more

GV Sinclair 2/29/2008

I was not impressed with the Sinclair gas staion by Byerlys in Golden Valley. All of the employees, including the cashier ignored me and just talked to each other for like 5 minutes before they helped me out. I have only had bad experiences during the day, however, in the evening it is much different. The young cashiers are helpful, happy, upbeat, and always willing to talk with the customers. I have had good experiences in the evening with the handsome cashier and his young helpers. When it is cold, they often offer to fill my gas up for me and ask if i would like my tire pressure checked. Kudos to the evening workers at the Sinclair station. As for the day time workers, maybe work on some customer skills and ask your evening workers for help. more

I have been going to the store for many years I work at the byerlys behind it and I have to say it depends on the people tbat are working the big guy in the moring is a hit or miss and the guys in the evening are hit or miss also i think all the guys there are doing so many drugs that they never know whats going on but the bigger girl who works evenings has always made it a delight going there so it just depends on the time you visit more

this place is horrible 1/31/2008

they have charged my credit card 2 times both 1,500 dollars and never fixed it I am about to go to court with them and I heard that this kind of stuff happens there all the time where people get charged for stuff they didn't get and that you end up having to go to court to get your money back and there service writer Ron is always on drugs that he never knows whats going on day to day more

I stayed away and still got burned! 10/14/2007

My debit card recently had over $50 in charges from this place and I never was there! Last time I visited this place was over 5 years ago and I learned then not to go. Rude staff and dirty establishment. more

great service, great quality 5/6/2007

i have been a loyal customer for years nor and i must say that this really is a wonderful place to bring my car. i have recommended this shop to many of my family members and friends; and they all have had the same experience i have, they are now regulars there as well. i have a hard time believing that these other folks have had such a terrible experience there, everyone is friendly and professional. there pricing is a touch high but you get quality parts and service in trade. i used to be in the auto repair industry as a service manager and i really must say that this is the best shop in the twin cities. more

VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE 5/2/2007

We just dodged a huge bill at this gas station by asking extra questions and doing some online research. When we pressed one of the employees, we found that we were being urged to do nearly 3-thousand dollars in repairs just because of the "age of the car." \r When we told them we were thinking of just selling the car because it wasn't worth it, we were told that one of the mechanics just loved the car and might be interested in buying it because it was in such "great condition for its age." We inherited this gem of a car from my mother-in-law, who passed away last year. I'm glad she didn't have to hear this baloney. She took such good care of the vehicle and was proud to be an honest, trustworthy person. more

dont waste your time 8/29/2006

very bad place, they markup everything at least 150%. one of them has a coke problem. they screw up cars all the time. the day cashier steals from other shifts and blames it on them. they plug tires and other services and just pocket the money without work order. their tow service is a joke and mess up ppls cars. PROS: none CONS: customer beware customer beware customer beware customer beware more
