The move was estimated to take 6 to 7 hours with 3 men. The original estimated charge was $620 and was charged to my credit card prior to the move. The 3 men showed up at 9 AM, immediately the main mover and driver started vomiting in my house, on my yard and on my driveway. He staggered back to the truck and passed out. I called the office multiple times to get another person out to my home for the move. At first, this request was refused and I was told that I wouldn't be charged for 3 men. I told them that nothing was getting done, one man was well over 60 and moved 1 box at a time with no rush and the other man just kept walking into the house and back out without carrying anything. It took, 2.5 hours for another person to show up. Until that point, the other 2 laborers did not know what to do and nothing was accomplished. At 2:00 PM, the truck was loaded and we drove to the new house. The drivers took an hour lunch and came back smelling like marijuana. They proceeded to lose the keys to the truck and another 45 minutes was lost until they found them and they could move the truck into my driveway. At one point, I went to the truck to see how much was left and the main driver, was sitting on a ladder, taking my boxes out of the overhead area over the cab and dropping them 7 feet to the ground. When he saw me he stopped dropping the boxes and I stood at the truck the remainder of the time it was being unloaded. At 6:30 they were finished and presented me with a bill for over $1,000. I refused to sign the final paperwork and authorize the additional charges. Many items were broken as I unpacked this weekend due to handling of my boxes. I have moved numerous times and have never had a move with such unprofessional, hungover, pot smoking movers like this. I thought I hired professionals.
