Superb in More Ways than One 4/17/2006

I enjoyed everything about our experience at the Sun Dial Restaurant. Along with everyone else, I think this restaurant has the best view in Atlanta. The restaurant sits over 700' in the air, above the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. It makes a complete turn about once each hour, allowing everyone a total view of the city. The service was very personable. Everyone from the hostess who greeted us to our waiter called us by name. The service our waiter provided was quick and efficient but not rushed. In fact, we lounged around for 2 1/2 hours while enjoying our meal and the view. more

Impressed by the view, not for the food 2/21/2006

Formerly the tallest hotel in the world, the Peachtree Plaza is located centrally downtown. Crowning its spire is the somewhat reknowned Sun Dial restaurant. The view is really spectacular, as the restaurant rotates you can see the whole skyline. I have never, however, been impressed with the food. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good, but nothing there has ever really called me to show up for eating. Romantic? Yes. Hungry? Go someplace else. more

We've always had good times here 12/29/2005

The food at their restaurant is superb! It's also a nice place to take a date for a drink to see the Atlanta skyline at 360 degrees. A breathtaking view that visitors to Atlanta love to see. It's a nice place to go occasionally for an upscale dinner experience, but it's basically just business casual dress. I've never had anything from the menu that I didn't care for. more

Best View in Atlanta 8/17/2005

The Sun Dial, a revolving restaurant on top of the Westin Hotel in downtown Atlanta is almost voted as having the best view of Atlanta. Taking a ride up to the revolving floor is great too because of the glass elevators. Once at the top, enjoy a panoramic 360 degree view of Atlanta. Best to go at night when the city is all lit up. A site to see! more
