Recently I was to have a phone overnighted to my home. Travling on business the following day, it was very important. Due to an address error on the part of the shipper, the phone ended up back at the Dunedin Fedex office. It was to be delivered by noon. When it did not arrive and I tracked the package, discovering it was in Dundedin, only about 20 minutes away, I contacted the central number. I was told that the office was closed and there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to Amanda. Amanda at my request contacted the Dunedin office, came back on the line and asked me how long it would take to get there. I was so encouraged and told her 20 minutes. Amanda again put me on hold and contacted the Dunedin office. They were not willing to wait for me, drop the package off or take it to a 24/7 facility for pickup. I was essentially told there was nothing I could do. My company usese FedEx and have always found them reliable. It is unfortunate that the employees in the Dundedin office were not able to put in the extra effort to help someone who needed it at that time. Sad
