Delicious Brownies 4/12/2006

Fat Witch specializes in baking brownies. They offer several varieties such as Blonde Witch (chocolate chip cookie brownie), Java Witch, Caramel Witch, Snow Witch (white chocolate brownie), Red Witch (cherries in the brownie), Breakfast Witch (oatmeal walnut coffee), and Fat Witch (original brownie). I like the Blonde Witch brownie. Brownie squares cost about $2, which is about the right price considering the size and great taste. Chelsea Market has a little shop called Fat Witch Brownies. If the name doesn't tempt you maybe their website will. http://www.fatwitch.com/index.html I can attest that their variety of brownies are quite yummy and work very nicely as hostess gifts. Particular favorites are the Blonde Witch (Fat Witch's version of a blondie), Snow Witch (white chocolate brownie), Caramel Witch, and the cute little Fat Witch Baby. Thick, rich, fudgy, and you can get them fresh in Chelsea... or order them sent to your home- they travel well. more

My only problem is which Witch to get 4/3/2006

Fat Witch is a bakery that only sells brownies inside Chelsea Market, and their cute little logo alone makes me want to buy all of their products. Luckily for me, their brownies are also delicious! The Fat Witch Walnut, Java Withc and the Snow Witch are my favorites, and sometimes it's really hard to decide which ones to get (I usually end up getting them all). And for those who only want a little piece, they have Brownie babies, although the baby flavors are limited to original, blonde, and walnut. more

great gifts 10/21/2005

if youre ever walking through chelsea mkt, be sure to stop by this place. they have great brownies and often times they have samples. if you are discreet about it you can probaly stuff a few samples down youre throat and get the equivalent of one brownie that probably costs like $2. they have like 5 flavors. i usually think that a place is better off diversifying to lots of things but their brownies are soo good its just as well that they stick to this specialty. great baskets for xmas gifts more

You certainly can't ask for more than a place that sells only brownies. They have every flavor you can possibly want, and my favorites are definitely the caramel. You can buy bulk, individual or even mini. Perfect for people like me who likes to entertain but cannot for the life of me bake. They always have samples on the counter so just pop in and give it a try if you are crazy enough to think you can't commit to a brownie. more
