Fat Tony's Italian Pub

My daughter was walking by the place when one of the employees who was standing outside tried to encourage her and her group to come in but was told no when he looked at her and said 'that's okay I used to be fat too"" My daughter is eight months pregnant! more

We go to Fat Tony's on a regular basis and always have good food and service. We like their Italian-American style entrees such as Chcken marsala which we think is better than Carrabbas. Their beer selection is best in town we can find. more

Great Place! Loved the decor and the menu. Bartender's were really friendly and gave great service. We started our Haunted Pub Crawl here and had a great time. more

With a name like Fat Tony's, you'd think this restaurant would know how to cook pizza...quite the contrary. Their pizza is gummy and undercooked...and please..do not add toppings--especially veggies. It was absolutely the worst pizza I had ever eaten. What is worse is they have the nerve to charge $17 for a pie. I'll gladly pay that for Slice of Life pizza,but they actually know how to make pizza. We complained to our server and so he spoke to the Manager. The Manager would not even come to our table, which I found very peculiar. I have been a server in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and the Manager ALWAYS visits the table following a complaint. As disappointed as I was with the food, I was more upset with the way we were treated. By the way, this happened at the Racine Dr location. I wil NEVER eat there again, nor would I recommend to anyone. P.S. We also sent an email to Fat Tony's last Friday and well...still awaiting a reply. I guess I'll continue to hold my breath. more

My husband, children, and I went to have a nice meal in Historic Downtown Wilmington and definately chose the wrong place to spend a nice night out! While eating there were a group of people sitting at the bar being loud and obnoxious, when asked who they were by the waitress and if she could maybe calm them down, I was informed that one of them was the manager. When asked to speak with the manager on duty, the waitress went over to the manager off duty (who was obviously drunk) and told him what I had asked before going to get the manager on duty. Before the manager on duty came to my table, my daughter went to use there bathroom and when she came back informed me that the (drunk) "manager" had made a questionable remark! (She is only 13!) This place is disgusting and I will never give them my business again! more

The food was good and the service was excellent. I had the mussels marinara which is hard to find in southeastern North Carolina. It was very good. I'm definitely going back. more
