We got 1/2 bushel of "live" # 1 jimmies FOR $75.00 yesterday, and 11 of 33 were dead when we got them home. When my daughter called to complain, she was told that was NORMAL, and when she told them she knew better (she has worked at Waterman's in OC two summers), they hung up on her. I called today and asked for a manager and asked if they were willing to do something about it he again said that was A NORMAL RATE - 22 0F 33 CRABS ALIVE - and when I let him know that it was not - I have been cooking live crabs for more than thirty years - he hung up on me, also. I suspect they also cook and sell dead crabs. I don't know which is worse - the rip-off or their attitude.
