Fast and Fair Carpet Care

This guy comes 15 mins late, loves to talk and is honest to a fault. As a native NYer, I love that style. He's real. He works hard and fast. Would I be happier if he did the job slower? No way. I read someone's review complaining about stains. I have your answer.....once a stain is in the padding, it will always reappear. A day, a week, a month - I guarantee it. Bought a Groupon for $49 for Fast & Fair Carpet Care. No where on the Groupon does it say this is only a "Maintenance" Cleaning and a deeper cleaning would cost more. I pointed out stains upon the arrival of the carpet cleaner (owner). He told me there would be no problem. I have my carpets cleaned every 6 months and have no kids or pets, so there is no way this was a carpet in need of Deep Cleaning. I watched him work and in most areas there was only one pass over each area. Stroking side by side, but not going back over a few times or top to bottom then side to side. Just one stroke. Needless to say, of the 4 spots I pointed out, only one spot has been removed. No special treatment to the spots other than an initial spray which all carpet cleaners use at the outset of cleaning, The ad states 1-2 hour treatment. My tech worked approximately 45 minutes to do the entire house. He told me the carpet would dry in 4-6 hours at the most if there was a lot of humidity. He left at 12:30 and it is now 11:45PM. I have had the air conditioning running none stop, 5 ceiling fans and two floor fans going this entire time and many areas are still quite damp. Why was this water not sucked out by the "Professional Truck Mounted Equipment". After he left, I went out to take some trash down to the curb and noted that a decorative fence I had around the sidewalk had been knocked down on two sides. I understand hoses had to run from his truck, but if an incident happens it was up to him to replace the fence or at the very least, come in and inform me. Add to this the fact that when he pulled out of the driveway there were two grease spots left behind. This has been a very disappointing experience all around. more

This company did a terrible job. Besides obvious spots still on the carpet they did not clean where the carpet meets the baseboards at all! They also "cleaned" the grout. We couldn't even tell it had been cleaned. When we called them the guy came to look at what we were speaking of and said he didn't have the "tool" needed to clean the carpet near the baseboard and said the grout was cleaned. They did nothing to yry to rectify thr problem. Very unprofessional service. I would NOT recommend this company. more

Scheduled an appointment for 9:30 on a Saturday, 45 minutes after 9:30 I call to ask what is going on. The person says "I will be there in 45 minutes" 1 hour 30 minutes later I call and ask ETA? He says Im 3.4 miles away, 45 minutes later he arrives. This company is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend their services to anyone. Once the technician arrived he said it was my fault for buying a livingsocial deal, and that I shouldn't even be scheduled. Besides the horrible customer service, and the lack of time management. The cleaning service was awful, the technician was in and out in less than 20 minutes for 600 sq. ft, and the carpets are still soiled. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY go with a more trusted source. more

What a hassle! 45 mins after they were supposed to be here I call & the person who answers the phone (wife?) tells me they tried to call that a.m. to confirm & noone answered so they went somewhere else (my cell was in the car). Really?? I had just called 2 days earlier 2 confirm & ask them about doing my couches. So she says they would come after he was done w/the appt he was on & would call 2 confirm before he headed my way. Really??? R u serious? I'm talking to u now & telling u I'm here waiting. No, they weren't kidding. I take the dog out back 2 go potty, come inside & have a message "I'm ready 2 come 2 ur house but if I don't get a call back I'm not coming". Really???? Showed him around & pointed out spots (nothing serious) & was told no problem when I clean they'll come up. No spot treatment!! He measured the rooms & came up with an "overage" that was in addition 2 the Groupon. Of course!! Each room went by the actual size of the room. A 12x12 was 144 sq ft. Didn't matter that there was a queen size bed, desk, triple dresser, bookcase, etc., & the only carpet area was like 3x5. He said it goes on room size cuz "it could be empty". Really?? He said "the carpet will continue 2 get lighter as it dries". Finally, 2 days later when it dried, the spots I had pointed out, still there along with "stripes" because he didn't overlap when he was cleaning, he butted up. Had him clean my couches w/deodorizer (extra $) which dried in about 30 mins and still smelled the same as they did before the cleaning. Maybe I'm to picky and use to my old carpet guy (retired) who would go to the ends of the earth to make sure it was done right. But the owner never said call me if you have any problems, we guarantee our work. Nothing! So after spending all that money I was on my hands and knees scrubing the stains and stripes and spraying Febreeze on my couch. Not to mention my 9:30am appt kept me at home until after 2. Doesn't seem right after spending over $300. Ever feel like you've been ripped off? Use them & you will. more

Their name has it spot on. They were incredibly fast both at when they could visit and how long it took them to clean the floors. The carpet looks great and the price was very reasonable. more

We used this company to clean the floors in our home before our Memorial Day party. They did a great job with the cleaning and applied a treatment that allowed any spills to be quickly cleaned up. more
