On Tuesday, my staff and I were walking the Ave, Germantown Ave that is looking ideas for an upcoming event. We saw two boutiques. We popped in the first one and were impressed by the wide selection and my staff was able to garner quite a few pieces of items, including a handbag. The second was just as pleasant; yet again, my staff was able to walk away with a fab pair of sunglasses that Princess Kate Middleton would 'die for'. We were pleasantly surprised, especially my staff, when we realized that they were both consignment stores; Yes, consignment stores! Elegant shop filled with stupendous finds. Vintage and current designer items. An unbelievable Mary McFadden evening ensemble held me breathless. Left with Ungaro jacket, YSL pants, St John suit, Paul-Louie Orrier top and feeling faint. Sales staff charming and most accommodating. Definitely habit-forming.
