Tatyana is absolutely amazing at what she does! I highly recommend her to anyone needing any kind of alterations or dress made. I have visited her twice in the last few years and have been beyond pleased with her work both times. She is very knowledgeable about her work, and is kind and pleasant to work with. After numerous weekends shopping for the perfect prom dress , we realized it was not ""out there"". Most dresses were way over priced for what you got. Being a Mom of the prom girl, certain areas had to be covered and also meet the specifications of the princess. We visited Fashion Atelier; we were met with a cheery, sweet disposition and very talented lady. My daughter had a picture of what she wanted although had some suggestions of her own on what she' d like changed. I also had some suggestions of what I'd like changed!After much dicussion, re- drawing of the dress she came up with a dress that was much more than my daughter or I had anticipated!She had landed my daughter s personality and a ""Mom s wishes"" all into one beautiful amazing dress. The ""process"" of the making of the dress was painless, she was very accomodating with our schedules, and always made my daughter feel special each time we were there.The entire experience was enjoyable , and the end results speaks for itself. My daughter was beaming prom night as well as stunning in her dress; and I was comfortable knowing how well it fit her. By the end of the experiencing they were already planning next year for her senior prom dress! more

I could not imagine a better experience or a more beautiful dress for my wedding!! I have not lived in Murfreesboro very long and do not have any family here. When I heard about Tatyana from someone I met, I decided to make an appointment. She was so professional and sweet at the same time, which is not easy to find. She was very honest about pricing and fabric choices.I also was given several itemized receipts so I knew exactly where my money was going. She always returned my calls and emails promptly. She made it all SO easy on me. As I mentioned, I do not have family here but Tatyana made me feel like I did. She was so sweet to me during all my visits and fittings. I cannot wait to wear the most spectacular dress at my wedding next week. Fashion Atelier is a couture bridal shop where you can have a one-of-a-kind gown designed and made to your specifications. Fashion Atelier is always customer friendly. The negative review about inconvinient hours and poor customer service was written by one of the bridesmaids who did not tell the whole truth. She came with a bride and other bridesmaids for an alterations of a bridesmaid dress on 10/10/2008. On 10/23 she failed to show up for her appointment and did not even call with any explanation. We never saw this bridesmaid again. The dress was finally picked-up and paid for on 11/21 by the bride and her mother, who were embarassed for their friend. How sad that instead of offering us appology, this person decided to post such an untruthful review of our business. For a long time we did not know who this person was, since she did not put her real name, but the truth always works itself up to be known. Please, remember that anybody can write a review about any business and many people just like to hurt others to feel good about themselves. I strongly desagree with a negative review about inconvinient hours and a bad customer service. It sounds as somebody did not pay the bill on time and got offended about the reminder!? It is also interesting that a person who wrote the negative review did not put the real name, all other reviewers did. I hope it is not written by somebody who is not even a customer of Fashion Atelier. After I saw that comment I had to write my review because Tatyana is the best! She sees people by appointment only and the store is even open on Saturdays. As far as payments: nobody wants to work free! Tatyana gives prices upfront and provides superior customer service. I was in retail business and often had customers who we could not please, no matter how hard we tried and unfortunately they complained the most. Do not be turned away by the negative review. I have been a customer of Fashion Atelier for over 10 years and had custom dresses made by Tatyana and also continue to use her for alterations. You will not find another person with such talent and taste. She is a professional designer and a dressmaker for over 20 years and has won many national awards for her work and has been published in many magazines and newspapers. She does not advertise except by word-of-mouth. Brides from other states and even Canada fly to see Tatyana for custom wedding gowns! Tatyana is truly an artist who performs a craft that is rare these days. She basically sculpts a wedding dress on your body that is 100% unique and made for you. I fell in love with a dress online that wasn't available for purchase anywhere. After I saw it, I knew I couldn't walk down the aisle in anything else, that was my dress. Then began the process of finding someone to make it for me, which was no easy task! Everyone I talked to wanted to completely change the dress so that it was simpler to make, only Tatyana seemed completely capable and enthusiastic about my dress. From the very beginning she was so much fun to work with. She picked out parts of the dress that could be more flattering to my figure, but other than that stuck to the design. The dress came out better than my wildest dreams. Tatyana helped me feel beautiful on the most important day of my life and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind personal experience. She even offered to help reduce the cost of my dress by finding different materials when I expressed concerns about the price. It truly is hard to find professionals so dedicated to true craftsmanship these days. If you want a unique dress custom made for you then Fashion Atelier is the place to go! I worked with Tatyana last Spring for my June, 2008 wedding. She was truly a pleasure to work with, and my wedding dress was absolutely stunning. In a time when the wedding business is overly commercialized and often impersonal, it was nice being able to work one-on-one with a truly talented craftswoman. It does take her a while to make the dresses, but you are taken back to the days of old, when dresses were remarkably unique and well-made. I recommend her for any special occasion, just know that it's being handmade and it obviously takes much longer than going into a bridal store and purchasing any dress. more

The designs are beautiful, and the product was nice. However, the store hours are very inconvenient, and it was very difficult to schedule appointments and connect on the telephone. I was treated inconsiderately and frankly quite rudely. Payments and payment methods seemed awfully important, where I thought quality of product and customer consideration and satisfaction should have taken more precedence. Tatyanna of Fashion Atelier is amazing! She's a lifesaver. I purchased my dress from a store that was going out of business. I got a great deal on the dress...but it was a little big at the top and needed to be chopped off at the bottom. I took my dress to a seamstress and she was scared to try & fix my dress. She said that it looked impossible. The top of my dress needed the most work & it was where all of the bead work was. I went home & went online and found Fashion Atelier. I made an appointment to meet Tatyanna and I was really nervous that she would say the same. Tatyanna acted like my dress would be a breeze & told me it would be way under $100 & to come back in a week. When I picked it up the dress was gorgeous. Tatyanna had not had to do much with the beadwork & at the bottom of the dress instead of just cutting it off she created another layer. It was gorgeous! She did an amazing job and I will be forever grateful to Tatyanna. Pros: She's amazing! Cons: NONE! more

When I told my mother I wanted to have my wedding gown made, she was pretty apprehensive. I knew exactly what I wanted, so I contacted Tatyana and emailed her an example. she exceeded my expectations with her superb craftsmanship and expert eye. my one-of-a-kind gown fits me perfectly, and it was created for a fraction of the price of a designer dress. she also made me a beautiful veil and helped me choose accessories. I wish we could get married all over again, but at least we have beautiful pictures and memories. If you know what you want, Tatyana will work hard to create the perfect dress for you. The shop is elegant yet quite simple, with no pretence or gimmick to be found. The Shoppe seamstress and co owner Tatyana Merryman is quick to point out that she alone could not pull off the miracles that come into her Shoppe as just an idea, and leave as a dream come true. If you are looking for honesty, talent, excellent customer service, unbeatable prices, and absolute genuine tailor made dreams call Tatyana for an apt. She will treat you like Princess not matter what type of money you come from or who you know.
