I've been taking classes here at Farrin O'Connor for almost a year now. The design studio/workshop look of the business makes learning jewelry making very easy. The teachers are open to questions, patient with new students, willing to show basic techniques to people new to jewelry making in general, and you can usually walk away with a finished piece to show off to your friends and family. I have always come away with new techniques, new jewelry pieces, and usually a new tool. Margot Farinn, the owner of the studio is friendly, professional, helpful with suggestions on design or technique. I once missed a class because I was ill, and she called my home to see if I'd forgotten to come to class. I will continue to take classes here and shop for jewelry findings and parts. Visit them for a tour of the studio, and you just might be signing up to take the next pendant class or soldering techniques from Margot herself.
