Is Farmer Jims the place where they had the slides and swings in the lake w the paddle boats?? or is that another place in ohio? I am dying to know cuz this is where we had our family reunions at and cant remember for the life of me what its called. more

We swam there years ago when all of us kids were small. That was up until my mother saw some feces floating by in the water. She got us all out, and after that we went to Willow Lake when we weren't swimming at Packard Pool. We still liked Farmer Jim's better, but there was no convincing our mom! more

Closed up 12/17/2005

As with most of the swimming holes, it closed because of high insurance costs. What a shame! This was one of the most fun places to go on a hot summer day! It was always kept clean and I never saw any problems anytime I had been there with my family. With Farmer Jim's gone the next closest placie is Willow Park in Champion-- which I will not take my family to. Willow Park has too many problems that I don't want my family to see. more

Closed Years Ago 10/19/2005

Farmer Jim's used to be packed in the summer time when the weather was hot. It was a really nice place to go and have some fun and cool off. Unfortunately, they ended up closing quite a few years ago because of the cost of insurance. It was a shame because it was always kept clean and nice. more
