I'm a 37 year old man with a full head of hair and just received another great hair cut from Fantastic Sam's in Matawan. I've been there 5 or 6 times and have always been VERY happy with the results. An excellent hair cut at any price (but I liked it more because it was only $14). more

My family and I have been customers of Fantastic Sams in Matwan for 2 years now. They have recent new owners that made some great changes. They added new experienced staff. Michelle My wife loves the Color and highlights they do. She says the job they do is outstanding and the price cant be beat. I can go to any of the stylist and get a Fantastic cut for under $15. My kids boy age 6 and girl age 4 both love to go for the lolli pops. The last time my wife had highlights she brought my daughter. Ariana was getting a little bored so the owner sat and read her stories until my wife was finished. Now that is Kid friendly customer service. The salon is clean and warm and friendly. If your kids look like shaggy little monsters because they hate getting their hair cut, then this is a good place to take them and convince them that getting their hair cut really is not such a boring and tedious task. They can come here and have some fun and keep themselves amused while they get their hair done, and in the end it will not cost you a bundle. This is a nice relaxed place. more

Fantastic Sams always has plenty of advertisements for kids haircuts including coupons. However, they have nothing to attract a childs attention. As most parents know, kids do not like to sit still to get their hair cut, so a kids salon needs to have decorations and toys that appeal to children. Fantastic Sams has none of that, but they do give a good haircut. more

Fantastic Sam's is a great place for a walk in haircut. No appointments necessary at all! They have many stylists, at least 10 working at one time. I can walk in while shopping and get a quick haircut. Plus they also do kids cuts for $10. And they do colors, cuts, perms, waxing, relaxers, etc. I like the girls a lot, they are always very friendly. They do great eyebrows also! Prices are pretty cheap, and they even have great coupons in the local newspapers! more
