As far as what I want when I go to a BBQ place, Famous Dave's isn't anywhre close. I've never been until last two nights ago. I went with work. I ordered a full slab of ribs. ...

Good, not great 1/12/2006

Famous Dave's is yummy food. There's a lot of variety in sauces and meats, but little in the side item department. The meats/sauces arent better than any of the other barbecue places, but there's quite a bit of food on your plate. The atmosphere is a little overdone to the 'log cabin' side. My wife finds the place a little disturbing (and so did any dates I took here before I married). Odd place, decent food. more

I like Famous Daves for the atmosphere and the food. The service isn't bad either and the prices are average for the food you get. It's a good place to take people from out of town or for a birthday. The portions are quite large and we always end up taking something home. Where I do have a problem with Famous Daves is with their catering. When we called for prices, they were rude and not very helpful. The prices were outrageous for catering, as well. We ended up not ordering from them, but ordered from Neely's instead. more
