Great for breakfast? No. 3/13/2010

This is a Restaurant 1/2/2010

Salad without a cuc or tomato? Not a kid friendly menu! Food smoothered in grease. How can you get service when the bartender is also responsible for taking food orders from the patio and lounge area's and also busing the tables. It's time for this place to fold again and open under NEW management. more

"Bands that bring in a lot patrons and pack the place" 3/27/2009

Annominois - Musician, The Inn. should be more appreciative to the better bands that bring them a lot & I mean a lot of fellow patrons and they have to be drinking while listening or up and dancing. Now, that's a good Band if they keep the placed packed and the bar tender runs out of glasses to serve and they keep a lot of people in there most of the night. The Manchester Inn. Is'nt to big but it's not to small. So figure 40 people to a lot more?!?!!I've seen and been there many a times you couldn't move or hardly even get to the bar for a drink. So you figure what the bar makes. Average person two - four drinks enjoying song and dance. The bar must be doing $2000.00-$3000.00 that's just during the band hours. Hopefully they kick down some of the favor, and pay these bands what is deserve. In kindness for bringing them a good such a good night in their business. So be fair about business Manchester Inn. more

Great place to have breakfast 11/15/2008

The Family Inn is a great place to kick back, have breakfast and enjoy the view of Seattle on the skyline. When it comes to the "Dine-and-Dash crowd", it has no peers. The cheerful staff, guided by Donna, a skilled small town restaurateur, adds to the enjoyment of your visit. more

Great Breakfasts! 6/30/2006

The Port Orchard/Manchester area really suffers in the breakfast department. However, I really think that the Family Inn really delivers on this, at least better than the rest. Yes, I agree that their service does sometimes leave something to be desired, but it also very friendly and hospitable place to eat. They love small children there and their food is consistent and always the right temp. They have a great patio that you can eat out on and sometimes get a view of the water. more

The Inn is Friendly but Hit or Miss on Service Lately. 6/28/2006

I am a summer resident of the Manchester area. The Family Inn is the closest place to my home for breakfast on the weekend, quick mid-week dinners, a few drinks and camaraderie. Lately, the service has really suffered. On 2 occasions in the past 10 days, the food I ordered was delivered to another patron who ordered after I did. There doesn't seem to be any system for determining what plate needs to go where, at least when eating in the bar. This occurred at breakfast and dinner. It appeared, the other night, that there was only one waitress for the entire bar and outdoor eating area. She was doing the best she could do under the circumstances. Some patrons were frustrated by the slow service and inability to get their bill, pay and leave. The food is nothing fancy, just home cooking. Usually, the food is a bargain but lately, half the battle is getting your order in and getting the meal delivered to your table. The Manchester Inn has always been a fun place to socialize and attracts all kinds of people. It has been around a long time; part of it's charm. There is a large river rock fireplace in the bar, a great view of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound and some decent bands on many weekend nights. It's a great place for a hamburger, a bowl of clams, deep-fried chicken wings, and prime rib on weekends. You'll get iceberg lettuce in your salad....not bad but as we all know it is totally devoid of nutritional value. My hope for the Inn is that as the Manchester area matures and grows....and it is...the Inn will step up to the plate and be all it can be! more
