The first time I walked in this store I didn't know where to turn first. There was so much to learn and to look at, I was lost. Their staff was very helpful. They asked me questions and directed me to certain items that they thought I would like and be helpful. After years of learning and trying new things, they are still my favorite. They always offer a sample at the take away counter. They make and order some delicious foods that make my mouth water. I just wish they weren't so expensive. But I guess that's the downside of eating healthy. more

Great place 12/10/2005

I went here to buy rice flour and gluten free baking powder for a friend who has allergies. They have a wide selection of goods for those who have digestive issues, allergies, or just want to be healthy. You could find many baking items that are eggless, gluten free and caesin free. If you need to be on the safe side when baking for a crowd, you should go here. Although it is pricey, health foods usually are. more

Comprehensive Vitamin Store on SI 8/15/2005

Don't go to GNC or any vitamin chain stores for vitamins and health food - if you can go on staten island, stay close to home and go to any of the Family Health stores. My favorite is the one on New Dorp Lane - their staff is the most knowledgeable in my opinion. I'm no vitamin or health food expert, but i always feel like theyre really trying to steer me towards the best products, not just the most expensive. check them out next time you need supplements especially. more
